we couldn't sleep either. It was just DH and I then, so at 3am we got up, packed the car and drove. Made it before lunch - 7 hours from SC.

Felt like we had another whole day AND they had a room for us!!!

I will be in the same situation you are in in just 8 weeks; we are driving, so we are leaving Friday afternoon and arriving Saturday morning.

I missed going to POR last year on my usual week, so I am over the moon about this trip. I am taking a friend and her two kids; age 18 and 14. We are celebrating her daughter's graduation from high school. She is single mom and very rarely gets to do things special for her kids.

This has been a long time coming, but I am really looking forward to it.
