I Wonder Why.....

I read the travel reports form others DISer's and i am confused, 2 different reports from 2 different parties, going same dates, have differents oppinios at the crowds, some said that the parks were almost empty and the other ones said it was complety packed.

Could you explain me?

Here are my two cents worth --- Different people have different interpretations of what is "crowded." I read numerous reports / reviews prior to our trip last week and found myself second guessing a lot of what I had read.

Several people have said that you don't need a rental car .. the Disney transportation is GREAT. We found it to be horribly lacking and were so thankful that we had a rental car from day 2 to day 8. Parking at the parks was so easy and I know it was much faster than relying on Disney transportation.

LOTS of people said Donald's Breakfastosaurus is horrible .. it was actually one of our favorite meals of the trip. We were warned that CRT was going to be a very rushed and impersonal breakfast event .. not true at all.

Not sure that I really answered the question that was posed but I hope to put together my thoughts and do a trip review soon. I'm sure it will vary greatly from others traveling the same days .. 10/1 - 10/9.

I also read the Trip Reports for planning purposes and agree that they can be confusion/contradictory. The reason for these contracdictions is because they are the opinons of the writters and therefore very VERY subjective.

I find the most useful information is when the report contains objective information. For example:
1. POP Warner footballers/cheerleaders stay at POP - then I'm not
2. CSR is big - OK, I'll be prepared to walk
3. Ohana is not worth the money - that's an opinion

You need to read a lot of these trip reports to seperate the subjective and objective. It is not a exact science, but could save you time/money/pain in the long run.

Another reason could be what days people are going to a certain park. We just got back on 10-8, and thought the crowds to be very manageable, but we avioded all the parks with EMH and read up on what days were the best to go to each park. The only day and park that we thought was crowded was Animal Knigdom on Monday, and it may of seemed more crowded that it really was just because of how it is set up.... some places have only the same way in and out so people jams occur.
