I wonder if this will be coming to the Disney World Parks...

Lol removing benches but adding seats in restaurants to force you into restaurants if you want to sit.

I remember when Travel and Leisure used to provide good information. Now, it seems to only create click-bait articles written based on other sources.

For example: The title on the linked article ("The Unexpected Reason Disneyland Is Getting Rid of Chairs and Benches") is pure click-bait. Anyone with a tiny bit of knowledge knows that the Star Wars expansion will bring massive crowds. So, removing some benches and planters is not unexpected.

The "information" in the linked article also purposely hides details in order to make it sound worse than it is. One of the sources for this click-bait article is the Orange County Register. That article states that while some seating has been removed to help widen paths, they did add free, non-restaurant seating. (Emphasis mine.)

"Brick planters that formerly ran along the front of the Haunted Mansion had wide edges, providing seating for visitors tired from tromping around New Orleans Square. Disneyland recently removed them to create a widened concrete walkway that will make it easier for crowds to pass through the area. Nowadays, it’s mostly being used for stroller parking. A few removable iron benches have been added to restore some seating to the area, though people could be seen nearby sitting on railings and fences not designed to hold them."

[Sorry if I come across as cranky, but click-bait articles drive me insane. And to be clear, my ire is with Travel and Leisure here, definitively not UGA03.]
