I won the Grand Prize!!

I'm so excited! Just got a call this morning and I won Grand Prize in the Kraft Food/HEB contest and it's. . .an all expense paid trip for 4 to Orlando! We are going in less than a month!

The Fed Ex man will bring the package of info with details tomorrow. Now we are going in August and November!!

Before you accept the prize, please make sure to ask the "value" of the prize on which you will be taxed, and make sure you're prepared to pay taxes on the value. I know that lots of folks on these boards really bargain hunt for rooms and would never pay rack rate...but I assume the "value" of your prize will be computed a rack rate. For example, if rack rate for your hotel was $435 and you were staying there 7 nights, that would be a value of $3045. If you were in the 25% tax bracket, you'd pay $761 for your room...that's great for 7 nights at a deluxe, but not "free." (I worry most about people who win trips for a large group [e.g. 8] and invite a lot of extra people, then have to pay tax on their friends' trip later on.)
