I won a trip to WDW. Which resort to pick?

Id choose poly 4 the monorail or Beach club for the pool and close to free fri sat nite entertainment at the boardwalk
so exciting......have a blast

So with what you like but I think I'd lean towards a monorail resort. I personally love the WL (not on monorail but a short boat ride away from MK) but I haven't stayed at the Poly yet even though the themeing does appeal to me. The GF looks beautiful but looks too "stuffy" for me to think I'd be able to really relax there and we didn't like CR at all. I do think I'd lean towards the Poly and can't beat the monorail right there. Have fun making your choice, how fun!

It'd be at toss up between the GF and Poly...but I think the Poly would win, ultimately.

Wow, so many for Monorail resorts. I myself prefer the Epcot resorts, the ease of just a walk or boat ride to both Epcot and MGM Studios.

I guess I'd decide which parks you'd be spending most time at then narrow it down to that area, then to your specific hotel.

I agree with try to figure out where you and your family want to spend the majority of the time. If you think they would enjoy MGM and Epcot more then pick one of the Epcot resorts but if your family enjoys Magic Kingdom and Epcot more then definately stay at a monorail resort. I am another one who doesn't care for the GF so I would suggest Poly. I stayed there when I was little but don't really remember and it has changed in all those years!!

Beach Club for sure! Who care about the monorail.. you need to look at all the other features of the other resorts too.. that monorail is only going to take you a couple places as far as parks goes.

Although Poly would have been my first choice, of the remaining, no-brainer - Grand Floridian. With only 3 days, you'll need the advantage of the monorail and easy access to the Magic Kingdom.

I agree that staying on the monorail is the best idea for a short visit. That's what I did for my stay in May 05 with my DS's. It was a 4 day/ 3night stay. Access to and from MK was great because we stayed at the Cont. Epcot wasn't too bad. MGM was okay getting there. But we decided to walk back from MGM to BW and catch a bus to DTD then back to Cont. It's a very short walk, just take a right after the bridge and you're in the BW parking lot and the bus stop is out front. Here's a link for what I'm talking about:

Wow!!! Congrats to you....I was at the Toledo Zoo several times this summer and didn't see anything about winning a trip to Disney....and believe me - I would have entered. Lucky you...have a fantastic time. Wish it was me going tho.
