Last week at EPCOT, I was the hourly winner at McDonald's and won a free flurry - they made a big presentation and said "Thanks for visiting Disney where dreams do come true." I was happy! And it was good :cool1:

That's awesome! Were you already in line to buy one when you won it? Were you with the rest of the family? That's so neat!

I was in line waiting and when it was my turn, the person waiting on me said, "Wait, I think you won a prize." He pretended like he was talking to Mickey Mouse on the phone. Then he said, "Guess who that was." I said Mickey - and he said, yes and you are our hourly prize winner! You win a flurry of your choice! The other people working all came over and clapped and yelled, "Congratulations, Susan" They handed me the flurry and said, "Thank you for visiting WDW where dreams do come true!" and they all waved and yelled etc.

I was with DH who was impatiently waiting in the shade for me, and he was making stupid faces at me - like what is taking so long - and I was thrilled. It was hot and I was hungry and I had a flurry - he stopped complaining when I showed him what I got FREE!!!

It was a nice surprise! :cool1:

These are the special Disney touches that make it worthwhile to visit year after year. Even if I am not the one getting the extra-special treatment, it is great to see others getting treated as king or queen for a day. :wizard:

"I was with DH who was impatiently waiting in the shade for me,"

Are you sure you weren't with my DH??? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have many photos of him 'waiting in the shade' as I shop, take pictures, etc.

So glad that you won a prize. Hope we get a wish when we are there in three weeks. Do you think having an adorable 16 month old with us will help??

My DH won a Cupcake at Tusker House for having the millionth drink served at WDW that day. :thumbsup2 We just wanted to know who was in charge of counting! :lmao:

That is really cool bsusanmb :cool1: Congrats ! :cheer2:
Also congrats to your dh disneybride96

Not sure if we "won" something or not ? We were at Liberty Tree Tavern on Oct 5 and the CM servers made a big fuss in the restaurant (ringing bells and all) and telling everyone to clap for us because we were the "special family" (their words) of the night and everyone was going to help us celebrate our "unbirthdays". Here's a pic from that night and the cake we got as a suprise after dinner (along with icecream).
The cake :

There's another smaller pic in my siggy. I'm not sure if this is something they do at the LT ---if it is, I don't recall it from past years ? Or if it had something to do with the YOMD celebration ? Or if it had something to do with MNSSHP (which we were there for).

WOW, that is so cool! This is all a part of the million prizes, I guess.

I think having a 16 month old will help!

Yes, my husband is always waiting somewhere when I shop, talk, look, etc. Sometimes patiently, sometimes impatiently.

My DSIL was wearing his Kansas cap and one of the cast members from Kansas told him that at random someone will pick a family with a little girl to spend the night in the castle! I think she said it would be done a lot of times.

Have fun on your trips! I just love Disney! :Pinkbounc
