...sadly not a Disney related one.

The postie just delivered a recorded delivery letter. It had me worried to begin with as I'm glass-half-empty kind of person. Anyway, I opened the letter and saw the word 'Congratulations!' and out dropped 4 tickets to Drayton Manor!:yay:I had been saving to take the girls to DM in the summer as it's not far from where we live. I was sooooo pleased. The last time I won a competition was for colouring in the Green Cross Code man - some of you who were born in the 80's won't know who that is - but it says how long it has been since I won anything.:rotfl:

Despite my lack of success, I do like to hear about other people's 'wins'. Has anyone won anything in a competition?

cool :cool1: have fun at DM !

I never win .....mainly because i never enter any comps

I won £150 to spend at Asda before Christmas.... Not exactly a competition as it dropped out of a loo roll, but I still won it!! :lmao: I spent it on a load of house stuff...

I won a runner up prize in a 'Stop Smoking' poster campaign on 'Going Live' when I was 5 (I loved Gordon the Gopher and his 'Daddy'- Philip Schofield!)...

I won 9 Soft Toys on Diggit on a phone in game when I was about 11....

There's probably more that I can't think of right now!

Congrats on the Drayton Manor win! :thumbsup2

Oooh well done :)
I never win, probably because I don't enter anything. I think i'll give it a try.

ooh congrats on your win, what a nice surprise :woohoo:

I've won a few things, I won a disney princess room make-over kit last year and dd won a rucksack, beanie and some chocolates when I entered a photo of her into a DLP halloween contest a couple of years ago oh and I won a leapfrog kids thing. I think the best thing I won was when dh and I went to a wine and nibbles night at the jewellers where we bought our wedding rings, etc and we were all handed raffle tickets on our way in and I won a diamond pendant necklace, I was thrilled

Congratulations -we went to Drayton Manor on Monday and had a great time :thumbsup2

I haven't won anything in years - when I was a teenager, I won a Billy Connolly LP and watch - my Mum and Dad wouldn't let me have the LP as they considered it too rude :rotfl:

A few years ago, I won strawberries and champagne in a Take a Break competition. Sadly, I don't like either :rotfl2:

Congratulations again on your win :)

Congratulations Juliette! I've never been to DM -I'd love to go.

What with that and the Child tax credits it's a good week for you :cool1: as it's said these things come in three's - perhaps you should have a flutter on the lotto tonight;)

Well done :thumbsup2
Never won anything myself but then I dont enter any competitions so no wonder really :rotfl:

Congratulations, that's a great prize

I think the last thing I won was a lanyard and a couple of pins in the Disney Sweepstakes last year :)

:rotfl:My DH has ordered me to have a go on the lottery. If anything else good happens, I will be beside myself - I'm not used to good luck.;)

Wow, you are pretty lucky. I am always the one tearing my raffle tickets into little pieces after the draw. I can't even win on the tombola.:rotfl:

Congratulations!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: You'll really enjoy your day there now. :thumbsup2

I've won two things in my lifetime so far ;) the first was a Bay City Rollers LP when I was 15 :lmao: the second which was a cheque for £500 was for completing a survey on Orlando which immediately was put towards the next Orlando trip! :yay:

Elaine, my Green Cross Code man prize and your Bay City Rollers prize put us both firmly in a certain age category.:rolleyes1 That £500 cheque must have been a lovely surprise.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

And the funniest thing was that I had been mad on the Rollers whilst I was 14 when I entered the competition but when I turned 15, being a typical fickle teen, I decided I was too grown up to still like them and wasn't exactly delighted to win. I mean, I had my streetcred to consider! :rotfl2:

I also religiously entered the W H Smith Win a Pony competition every year but sadly never won it :sad2: although I'm sure it was a great relief to my parents! :rotfl:

congrats on the win :goodvibes

I have won a few things including a lot of foreverfriends goodies for mothers day comp i entered , all of which have been sold on ebay, and the money added to the holiday fund :thumbsup2
