I WON 1st Prize in the Hormal Chili "Win a Weber" Sweeps

I received a long, skinny box in the mail today. I figured it was the plastic wrap I'm suppose to test for some survey site, but it was longer than plastic wrap. I opened it up, and inside were HUGE grilling tongs with the Hormel logo on. I figured okay, that's what I won. But then I read the letter and it said I won one of 100 first prizes and would be receiving a "Smokey Joe Portable Charcoal Grill" in another two weeks or so. The grill is valued at $40 (Grand Prize was a $600 gas grill). The tongs are an extra little gift, and I figure they're probably worth $20-$30 on their own!

Another "little" win, but it's something! Especially when I haven't been entering that regularly lately.

That's kind of funny since about 3 years ago I won some b-b-q tools from Hormel too! I didn't even remember entering the contest but after winning that, I was hooked on sweepstakes. It's just so fun to get something in the mail unexpectedly, isn't it?

How cool! About a month ago I was notified that I won a cookie recipe contest through Blue Bonnet Margarine, 2nd place and I will be getting a $500 gift certificate for a grocery store of my choice. At first I thought it was some joke or scam, but then I remembered that back at Christmas I had entered a bunch of manual sweeps on the ezsweeps.com site and I did enter a cookie recipe, I never in a million years thought I would win anything for it! So they emailed an afadavit and I mailed it in, now I am waiting until they post it on the Blue Bonnet site. This is my first major sweepstakes win, and is still unbelievable to me!
First prize was that a professional chef would cook a full meal for you and five others in your home, that was worth $1,000 plus all the first prize winners have a chance in a round two where they will compete for a vacation! I would rather have the $500 for groceries than the chef coming over, but I just missed a chance at that vacation $$ valued at up to $5,000!

God, I hope this won't be my 15 minutes of fame, I was hoing that to be on the power ball! LOL
