I can't stand the waiting.. Everything is done - I even ended up doing a whole lot more baking tonight..

It's certainly going to be a "different" Christmas, but I think it's going to be a good one, considering the circumstances..

DD's in-law's are coming over tomorrow night and then we're going to do something different on Christmas morning.. They're actually going to be here when our granddaughter gets up to see what Santa left..

The waiting is killing me though.. I'm worse than a little kid....

I've learned SO much in this past year - the most important one being that acceptance and a positive attitude are the best way to deal with the bad stuff that life throws your way..

Now..now - NO peeking!! I actually did that one year when I was around 12 or 13.. Carefully unwrapped everything and then re-wrapped it so my parents wouldn't know..

It was the WORST Christmas of my childhood - no surprises at all..

I won't peak. We're opening everything tomorrow morning. So I don't have to wait long. But my mom and uncle did do that once. They unwrapped everything and then they wrapped and taped it back up. except they used BLACK ELECTRIC TAPE to retape everything!

It is here! We're doing Santa tonight (well I guess tomorrow morning). We have to go visit MIL (4 hour drive) on Sunday and I didn't want that looming cloud ruining our xmas morning. This way the kids get a chance to actually play with their stuff before being tossed in the car. Although, I'm in a huge rush tonight. Just finished making the breakfast casserole and a batch of cookies. I'm still working on the jello mold for tomorrow night (with my family). Then tomorrow I have to make a fancy dip, maybe another batch of cookies, clean the house and pack. At least I have DH wrapping all the rest of the presents for me!!!!!

C. Ann . . . I so admire your positive attitude. It is inspiring. I have a friend who lost her DH and this is her second Christmas without him and she still dreads the holidays.
