Actually my son does go to college- he attends the University of Buffalo on a basketball scholarship from high school. I can see where this thread has turn nasty!!

Hey - just realized you're from my area. My DD goes to Canisius - we're in Lancaster.

One of my other DD's is a huge bball player - AAU, the whole deal. Good luck to your son in the coming season!!!

DD's boyfriend's father works at Dunlop also - wonder if your son knows him.

I'm so sorry. DH and I are new parents but already we know that parenting is the most rewarding and heartbreaking job out there.

My oldest is 4 and I get teary thinking of him growing up.

Who we are at 18/19 is usually so different than who and what we are at 24/25. I think even relationships at that age are hard to really make last past college and the like, people change so much.

(I know a billion people will disagree. And yes my parents met in HS and are still together. I just think today a lot of the kids are delaying marriage and this might be a good thing).
