I wish Disney had 'just looking' park tickets.

I know they don’t, but I wish they did.

Every time I come to this board and read about others’ pending and completed vacations I want to go back. We last visited in November 09. I want to go back! Lol.
My wife is now about 10 weeks pregnant, though, so the tickets would be wasted since we couldn't ride anything. I’d love to plan a trip to DW at one of the nicer resorts with the money we’d be saving from not going to the parks, but I can’t go to DW without visiting the parks and riding the rides.

Just a side rant. I’m freaking jealous of you folks today. Beautiful weather outside… I want to go to DW!!!! :goodvibes

With the advent of this thread, now I'm really starting to wonder if I could manage a disney resort vacation. NO, no, no... we need to save money.

I went to the parks pregnant...around 5 months at the time and rode all the rides except for the coasters/thrill rides. Still had a ton of fun

I'm going to be 5 months pregnant for my trip, and there are lot's of things I can ride!!

Oh, I understand that she can still ride certain things, but #1 we can’t ride the really fun stuff (obviously) and #2 she’d be a nervous wreck and probably wouldn’t ride the things she could anyway. ;)

We’re trying to save up our vacation hours anyway so going isn’t really plausible. It’s just me dreaming out loud. We need a Disney fix. lol

I was pregnant and still rode the rides. I didn't do the coasters but there were lots of rides I was still able to do. :goodvibes

Pregnant women ride stuff all the time.

The only thing that kept me from the parks was hyperemisis. But I couldn't stand the car ride out of the driveway at that point.

There are shows and there is atmosphere.

More importantly--there are rides that she can do at 10 weeks pregnant!!!!!

Go!!!!

Oh there are plenty of things she can still do while pregnant! Allears has a pregnancy section and lists out the rides that have restrictions. Compared to everything the parks have to offer, this is a very small list.

Our May 06 trip had my wife traveling 4 months pregnant, and she loved it. We just took it easy lots of rest breaks, made sure she ate healthy as much as possible. Great trip. :thumbsup2

I would go to Disney at any number of weeks pregnant, if only to ride it's a small world 18,000 times.

And I would certainly hope that DH would go on any rides he wanted to, that I didn't feel comfy going on!

I had a high risk pg, and did Disney World in a wheelchair (I couldn't walk the park). There were a few rides I was able to do, and more if I wasn't high risk. I still had loads of fun at Disney!

ETA...I was 9 1/2 weeks when I went, so about the same as OP's wife...

there's a lot of rides your wife can still go on even tho she's pregnant. just stay away from the "thrill" rides like the roller coasters and Mission Space

Why not?:confused3 She just has to avoid the thrill rides but there are many other rides, shows and shopping she could do.

No offense, but sometimes people here latch onto one thing and they don't read the rest.

The OP would LIKE to go, but they need to save their vacation time (and I'll assume vacation funds) for presumably when the baby is born. If there were such things as reduced tickets without the rides, MAYBE they could consider it but we all know that doesn't exist.

OP, I hear you. Sometimes I wish I could just up and go to WDW, too.

Honestly I don't know what post you read since the OP does not say they need to save vacation time or money.

Oh man do I know how you feel. We actually have annual passes that expire in August, and i don't think we can go back before then. At this point, the financials just wouldn't work out. Im with you with the jealousy deal. Maybe if i can get things together, we can stop by your place, fold you in our suitcase and head down!

Sure he did.

If you really want to go, and the time and money are no longer an issue, going pregnant can still be a lot of fun. Sure you can't go on Splash or TOT, but I bet you'd have a trip completely different from anything that you would have were your wife not pregnant. It might be a chance to experience Disney and the parks in a way that you never thought of before, taking your time, not rushing around for Fastpasses etc. And honestly, the list of restricted rides isn't very long - only two at Epcot.

Either way, I'm sure you'll make the best choice for your family. Good Luck!

exactly. the only thing the OP said was that their wife was pregnant and that the tickets would be wasted if they went. i assumed the only reason they WEREN'T going was BECAUSE the wife was pregnant.

I might be wrong, but it seemed like way back when my grandparents took me as a child (around 20 yrs ago) there was the option to come inside and shop for 2hrs for free.

Do I remember that right?
