When I can SMELL and TASTE AGAIN!! I hate colds... on the other hand, I'm already grateful that H1N1 and strep were ruled out, and it's just a cold

This weekend is the big open house at the Apple Farm down the road from us; they have cider, pies and crisp along with other delicious things... I'm holding onto hope that I might get my senses back before then so I can enjoy it!

Anyone have any idea if it's possible to "hurry along" the process of regaining your taste/smell???

I'm sorry you're sick, but thank goodness it's not swine flu!

I feel your pain with the no sense of smell issue. Maybe try sniffing something minty to clear out your sinuses? Or maybe some of that Vicks Vaporub?

I had that cold a couple weeks ago. I never felt really sick but I had a cough and a stuffy then runny nose. About the time I was thinking I should go in to make sure it wasn't bronchitis it was over. My cough has lingered-mildly--still though. Hope you feel better soon. DS14 just came home from school with the dreaded "flu-like" symptoms.
