I don't post often on this board but you all are very helpful so I thought I'd ask my questions.
We will hopefully be going next year and I will be traveling with my parents. My dad is 70 with Multiple Myeloma - a form of bone marrow cancer - and congestive heart failure. His cancer has caused him to lose 10 inches in height and he has shortness of breath at times. He can walk like a bat out of hell for 10 paces and then needs to rest. He has to sleep in a recliner because he can't lay down and now has a little hunchback.
My mom just had the first of two knee replacements.
They both look great but is there anything special that I need to know to tell CM's? I will be renting a recliner from Care Medical (I think) and bringing a wheelchair from home for Dad. However, my main concern is that people will see him getting out of the chair and walking perfectly - I don't want to have anyone say anthing unnecessary (ie hurtful) but I guess I can't stop that either.
Any thoughts?
