I think I bought about $35 worth. I really needed to replenish and I wanted some specific pages for pages I have planned for my son's Scout book, sports book and school book. I also bought a bunch of pages for my daughter to use in my 2-year old granddaughters book and for the new baby's book--he/she is due in July. The 2 yr. old is into princesses and they had some really cool papers that I couldn't resist.

Wanted to get some sizzix products, but they very sold out of almost everything. They get a truck tomorrow, but no guarantee that they will get it out in time. Sigh...guess I will save some more money and wait til next time.

I don't have a sizzix yet, but am really thinking about it. What do those of you who have one think of it? Worth the money or not? Do you use it a lot? Do you have lots of font sets and other die cuts? Or is it cheaper to just go to the LLS and use theirs when at a crop or when the rooms are open to use for free and you just pay for paper that you buy??

I love my Sizzix!!! I used to use Coluzzle to cut out letters before, and it took forever. Now with my Sizzix, I have my title cut out in a matter of minutes. I bought the Sizzix machine using a 40% off coupon at Michael's and then bought two fonts on ebay. I have uppercase Lollipop and uppercase Fun Serif. I think I got each full set for around $50, if I remember correctly. The only additional die cut that I have bought is the one with the 4 hearts. With two daughters (ages 17 & 20), I'm sure I will get lots of use out of the heart punch, even if it's just to rip it in half and use it as a broken heart! ;) So far I have only done one crop, because I just can't figure out how to get organized enough beforehand, but my wonderful boss has just about every Sizzix ever made, and most of the fonts, and almost every sizzlet, and every possible embellishment, etc, etc... So I usually just borrow from her whenever I need a special diecut.

I went on Monday to get some, but ours was 5/$1. (the 49 - 59 cent stuff) Either you use a lot more paper than I do, or your store carries a lot more! ;) I had trouble coming up with $2 worth - but then I only buy 2 sheets of the same stuff at a time. Of course, I'd already bought about $10 worth over the past couple months at about the same price.

I'm so annoyed with myself, though. I must not have checked my pages carefully as I picked them up. I thought I was buying 4 sheets of blue with white stars, but ended up with 2 of those & 2 blue with silver stars. Someone must have mis-filed them...my fault I didn't look I guess. But those 2 sheets were $.98 each! Believe me, there was much neater stuff to get if I was going to spend that much! I'm hoping they'll take it back, because I don't have any use for Hanukka paper.

I went and got some too, just like 12 pages. Ours was 4/$1 for the $.59 stuff.

I went too and I am heading back today for more. I bought the sizzix machine for 40% and the adapter for 40%. I thought I bought enough paper but I didn't so I am heading back today for more. :teeth:

BTW- I also bought my sizzix alphabet on ebay. Really good deal.

I bought a bunch of paper to use for the swap I'm in plus what I got for my daughter. They did have some really neat papers this time, especially to use in my son's scout book as backgrounds for the camping pictures. I use a lot of cream/tan papers on pages to help with the starkness of the white background--depends on what other stuff--stickers and mementoes--that I have. I also found some neat pages to use for thank you and birthday cards, plus I got some colored cardstock that I will use in his taekwondo book--I wanted the colors for each belt through the black belt!

Thanks for all the info on sizzix. I really liked the ease of using it when I was at my crop. I think I will go back tomorrow and see if they have the sizzix machine. If I get it, guess what will be on my birthday, mother's day, xmas lists from now on???

Is there a certain seller on ebay or do you all buy from individuals? What is a good price for the fonts?

It was several months back that I bought mine on ebay. Unfortunately, it won't let me go back far enough to see who it was I bought them from (it's only letting me go back 60 days), so I can't give you any advice on who it's safe to buy from. I know that it was pretty easy to get the Fun Serif, but I had to bid on the Lollipop for several weeks before I was able to get it for the price I wanted. My best advice is to try to bid just as the auction is ending...I mean like during the last minute or two. That was how I finally got the Lollipop. Every other time, I would bid and I would be the top bidder until moments before it ended and then someone else would get it. Don't give up, if you don't win the sizzix alphabets the first time, you will probably win it at another auction.

Thank you to the original poster for letting us know about this paper sale! Unfortunately I spent more than the OP but not just on paper. There were other items on clearance that I bought, too. :)
