I went!! I saw!! I conquored!!

Well we just returned from our very first WDW trip! It was truly heaven. I must say that the kiss goodnight and the fireworks were breathtaking. I stood there with tears running down my face and couldn't speak because I was so choked up. We all had a fantastic time and can't wait to get back. I am pleased to say that my 2 year old daughter LOVED all of the characters. I got some priceless pictures and videos of her hugging many of them. We ended up going on It's a Small World as our first ride and I do believe it was the perfect choice. It really set the scene for a perfect trip. I can't really pick one thing as my favorite, but Fantasmic would probably rank very high on the list. Unfortunately I never made it to Illuminations, but hey...there's a reason to go back!! My DH even stated that he loved it enough at WDW to go back every year!!! YAY!! After subjecting my Mother, Stepfather, and Aunt to over 5 hours of video yesterday, they now have the Disney bug. I think our next trip will be a huge family event. I will try to type up a trip report soon. Thanks to everyone on the DIS for all of the helpful hints I got before the trip. I now know that I will be able to have a much cheaper trip next time. I'm already looking for discounts!!

I am so glad you had such a wonderful time! I know that choked up feeling you were talking about. I get it every time I walk down Main Street for the first time of our visit. It's like going home again.

I'm so glad to hear you had a fantastic trip! I sure wish I could remember my first trip, because I think that seeing everything for the first time must be truly priceless. Believe it or not, I got a little choked up hearing about you riding Small World as your first ride--how neat that you picked such a classic Disney attraction that Walt himself designed. Now you'll be just as bad as the rest of us that have to go every year.

Nice to see you back, GR, and so happy you enjoyed it the way Walt would have liked you to have. Sounds like a wonderful first trip, the first of many, and a memory for a lifetime. Thanks for sharing your joys.
