is the same as counter service right? And I was also under the impression that it meant, you order at a counter and go sit down to eat with no server but I think I'm wrong now that I look at the list of restaurants with Q next to them. Are there Counter SErvice/Quick Service meals that you sit down and eat at? I keep hearing about Wolfgang Puck's Cafe being Counter Service but it looks like people are sitting and eating there from the pictures I've seen. Can someone clarify this for me? Thank you!

Wolfgang Puck express is a different animal altogether. It counts as a Quick Service/Counter Service, but you walk up to the register, order, and a server brings you your meal. Hope that helps. I don't think any of the other restaurants are like it.

Also, there is also Wolfgang Puck that is not counter service. It's a table service. So 2 by the same name, one CS one not.

quick service aka counter service aka food court... just like at the mall! (LOL)
i call 'em "carry your own tray" restaurants... they're all the same...
with the exception of WPE... there you order like a food court but you get a number to put on your table and your food is delivered to your table...

hope that helps :)

Wolfgang Puck Cafe is a table service restaurant on the West Side of Downtown Disney.

Wolfgang Puck Express is a quick service place the others are mentioning where you order and pay, and people will bring orders to the table. That is a quick service place. There's one at the Marketplace and one on the West Side.

The Marketplace location has a bigger variety. The two restaurants Cafe vs. Express get a lot of people confused. If you want the quick service (aka counter service), go to the Express on the Marketplace side.

QS/CS are interchangeable terms. Most have at least some limited seating nearby; some indoors, some outdoors. I think many are also set up so that they can easily package your food "to go". This works particularly well in Epcot; your party can split up, order QS from different countries, then meet up at outdoor seating somewhere (or even take the stuff back to your hotel) to eat and share.

Pepper Market in CSR is something of an exception, in that you are seated at a specific table - but then you still go get your food and bring it back to that table to eat. No wait staff to take your order or bring you your food.
