Some of my family is planning to move to Florida and so, I thought it would be nice if they could join us for a weekend stay in June. There were no 1 or 2 bedrooms available for the weekend, but 2 OVIR's were, so I booked them. For just a weekend, the kitchen, even the laundry room isn't as critical, but I thought OVIR's would be gone before the larger villas, especially at 4 months out. Even if we're spread out, we have 3 OVIR's for the weekend now, and we get to see our DGC!

We are adding on at Hilton Head because we were unpleasantly surprised at the LACK of availability at Hilton Head Island in the summer! HAHA

We are currently in ROFR and our 30 day mark to hear back from Disney is this coming Friday - so we will either be closing.... :cool1: or shopping for another contract :surfweb: :confused3 by this Friday.

We are really crossing our fingers on passing ROFR by FRIDAY!

We just added on in HH for the opportunity to book there in the summer as well.

We love Hilton Head and had trouble booking at the 7 month mark. We added-on 200 points there a couple years ago. I wish we had more points. We also usually add a couple days cash.

Congrats! We've always been lucky at VB - had OVIR's each time we've stayed - sometimes 7 mos out and sometimes less.

Its a beautiful resort - I honestly don't think there's a bad room in the Inn. You'll still have a mini kitchen in the room too :thumbsup2

I was on a wait list for a 1 BR in August. Lucky us, it came through. I called at my 7 month window and every villa was gone.

We were able to book 2 OVIRs for the first weekend in June earlier this month. We were actually surprised we were able to get two rooms on such short notice. Decided to add a little beach relaxation after our long drive from Texas and before the Mouse. The kids are always ready to GO when we get to WDW, but DH and I are always tired from the drive. Figure this would be a good way to relax and rest after the drive and make everyone happy. This will be our first trip to VB!! I can't wait.

We love VB as well. Being it's just 4 of us we always get a studio. We go there every year to kick off summer break.

One DGD asked if we would have a BC, that's the only accomodations they've been in at VB, :goodvibesthey've been there twice. I'm saving VB points for another BC stay for our family before our 2012 DCL cruise.

There are a LOT more Inn rooms than other at VB so there will be more availability in them.

Summer is actually the slow time for beaches in Florida. We were at VB last July and it was so slow that some of the restaurants in the area were closed for the season. June might be different, I'm not quite sure. It also depends on when in June and whether schools around the country are out yet.
