<font color=navy>I'm such a baby.

My first born, my son, started high school today. He had so many books to take that I gave him a ride to school. He commented that it just hit him he would not be going back to St. Anthony, his school of 8 years.

All of a sudden, it hit me, and I started to cry.

He just smiled.

:::: sigh ::::

He knows his momma loves him...:)
((hugs))

If there's any consolation, my sister and I, who are only 11 months apart but my son is 9 and her daughter is 32!! :earseek: she told me she even cries when she gets a new job!!

I guess we never stop being Moms, huh?

Me on Michael's first day of school....

{{{HUGS}}} MJ, <b>boy</b> do we understand :)

Mary Jo-
I cpmpletely understand! My baby started 1st grade today & I've been weepy on & off all day. When the twins get to high school next year I expect I'll be a blubbering mess.

{{{HUGS}}} MJ, every milestone makes me cry too!

You've done an AMAZING job of raising two great kids and you should be proud of them...even though it's hard to watch them grow up sometimes. :)

{{{HUGS}}} MJ!!!!

I know exactly what you mean....I am sending my twins to first grade in a week and everytime I think about it I get teary eyed!!!

YOu are an awesome mom, and you should be so proud of your kids.... :)

{{{HUGS}}} for you, Mary Jo.

Hugs for you. I cry at the first day, the last day, etc.
Let me tell you a cute story--two years ago on the last day of school for seniors, one of my seniors (18 years old!) opened his backpack and had a Snuggle bear in it! There was a note from his mom that said "Since Snuggle went with you on your first day of school, I thought he should go on your last day of school." He was pretty redfaced, but the female teachers were all teary eyed!
