To anyone who was on the November 7th sailing of the Wonder, I hope you really know how VERY VERY lucky you were. You were on an amazing ship, with unbelievable service, a second to none experience from beginning to end, as well as the best private island in the industry.

I was sailing on Royal Caribbean's Sovereign of the Seas which follows the Wonder out of Port Canaveral and then to the Bahamas with Disney, as well.

I went on the cruise with a friend of mine and we just didn't have the money to spend on the Disney cruise (I've been on the Wonder 4 times prior and I am on the Magic this December), she also isn't a huge Disney "fan" and thought she'd like the experience of Royal over Disney. I couldn't argue, as the differnce in price was huge, but I knew the experience wouldn't compare.

A couple of times she found me on the top deck of our ship standing on my tippy toes (like a little kid) trying to see what was happening on the Wonder at the Goofy pool. I was glued to the sail away party, and did catch a glimpse of Goofy once, I also heared most of the bellyflop competition, and I can honestly say I got tears in my eyes when I heard the amazing "when you wish upon a star" horn blow. My friend thought I had lost my mind.

The Sovereign was a nice cruise with great food, but nothing can compare to Disney so thank your stars for the great experience you were able to have!!

Happy cruising!!!

I know how you feel. I was recently in Port Canaveral at Grill's Restaurant watching the Magic sail out of port and I was so sad that I was not on it. Being on her 6 times already, I knew what those lucky passengers standing deck were in for!!!

Going in January on the Magic again and just can't wait!!!

Hey luv2tvl, how does the food on DCL compare to the food on Royal Caribbean?

My DW and I cruised on the Sovereign of the Seas several years ago and I thought the food alone was worth the cost of the cruise!

My DW and our four kids are booked on a three day cruise on the Wonder next November 6. I have no doubt we'd have a great time even if they served PB&J at every meal, but I've wondered if the food will be as good! What do you think?

I ABSOLUTELY loved the food on the Sovereign. I was so happy that I got to have filet and garlic mashed potatoes two nights! I had a great pasta dish the third night. That was great!

I like the food on the Wonder, but I don't LOVE it.

You have to take what I say with a grain of salt, because I'm known as the "pickiest eater alive". I drive my husband and everyone I know crazy.

The food on Disney is wonderful.... the dishes are just different. A little exotic and not the "meat and potatoes" options that are on different cruise lines.
