I was so disappointed...

For me it is the Monte Cristo sandwich in Blue Bayou-thought it would be grilled not deep fried. I also hate how everything is shut down for fireworks and parades. I have never seen Fantasmic and have no interest in staking out a spot for hours. The only parade I ever waited for was the one where my kiddos were in! Nothing cooler than watching your kiddos march down Main Street.

For me it's world of color. I would have left if I wasn't with my mom. I found it ho hum.

In California Adventure I was disappointed with Soarin. I found it boring. You watch a movie from a swing. :confused3 I don't get it.

I was also disappointed with Indiana Jones. The best part is the queue, so that's never a good thing for a ride

This is an enjoyable thread, thanks OP.

It is really just goes to show you have everyone has their likes/dislikes and how much that varies from person to person.

I laughed when I read the comment above how Soarin is just a movie you watch from a swing. I guess it is :rotfl: but it is the only place I can watch a movie from a swing and I simply love it.

However completely agree that Indiana Jones does nothing for me, but I also love the queue. When I said that to my friend just last week she was amazed. It's her favorite ride!

We all have our favorites for one reason or another and it's really interesting to read what everyone has to say.

Funny. I too don't really like Indy. My back always hurts when I get off it. It's my DH & DD10's favorite so I wait outside it for them. They use FPs. They are always trying to talk me into riding it. I really do prefer waiting. There is so much to look at around there.

I'm not a huge Tom Sawyer Island/Riverboat fan.

While I still love Matterhorn and will ride it 10 times in a row if given the chance, I really hate the new cars.

Wow... something I was disappointed with... I know this is going to raise blood pressures, but for me it was the Disneyland Hotel. :( We were use to staying at the GCH and expected it to be a similar experience since it was a similar price and for us it wasn't. Now don't get me wrong. I'm not saying it's a bad hotel. It just wasn't what we expected. I had paid extra for a theme park view because I wanted a great view of the fireworks. Most of our view was another building. We have had better views in standard rooms at GCH. The room itself was smaller than the PPH rooms we have stayed in and to us the headboards didn't warrant the bigger price. The pools were crowded and a bunch of drunk people were hanging out there every time we went down.
I have repeatedly read other DISers reviews of DLH and they always sound so thrilled with it. I always wonder what I missed or if it was just a bad week there.
Sorry if I upset any DLH fans. I'm just honestly answering Larina's post. ;)

Lana,
Sadly... I agree. about 2 years ago we spent a week there, we made this "our big vacation" which for our family doesn't happen very often. I wanted the experience. I was happy for the ambience, but for the price paid, I was so disappointed. We've decided next time to stay at PPH, while GCH is gorgeous, I just don't feel it is worth the price...

Not the only one. For the last several years we take advantage of F! time to ride rides without lines.

I have to go along with this! It boggles my mind how people will wait hours for this show. Even with the Dessert Seating/Package, you have to wait (if you want a front row seat) for an hour to choose your seats. And that's AFTER you've paid a hefty sum!

Don't get me wrong, we've done both, but I don't get doing it over and over again (just MY opinion)!:confused3

I hated the old submarines -- claustrophobia central. I can't imagine Nemo-izing it made it all better. And yeah, not a Matterhorn fan -- I hate to think I paid to get whiplash. But it is better than Mr. Toad's Wild Ride in that regard ( ::: ducks and runs :::).
