Had to get DS some new jeans. He will be 5 in Spetember. My mom was going to a store, so I asked her to get him some Levi's in a 6 Slim (he weighs maybe 40 pounds if he is lucky). She got him 2 pairs and he tried them on the other night at her house. Well, they fit him, BARELY! I am keeping on pair, but I will be returing the other pair for a 7. SIZE 7. My baby is growing up too fast!!!

Ha! I know what you're going thru. When my son was 12 mos old, he was wearing 24 mo clothes. At 2 years, he was wearing 4T.

Now he's 13 and wearing a mens size 13 shoe, size 32x32 pants, and he's almost 6' tall.

My problem is finding him pants in a slim size, but jeans that are thick enough that they last in the knees! I used to love Oshkosh BGosh jeans, but he would wear through them in 2 weeks. Luckily for shirts he is about a 5. At day care the other day, his teacher asked me if he was not feeling well, because at lunch, he only ate one helping, not his usual two (or three!).

One of the stores used to sell "double-knee" pants....and it wasn't Sears (although I know they have/had Toughskins).

I have gotten him the Toughskins from Sears, but they looked funny on him. You could totally see the double patch, and I didn't like that. I am hoping that he might not be so rough on his clothes this year. A mother can only hope!
