I was doing so good at being strong.....I wasn't planning on having my youngest have another BBB makeover.....but talking with other Mom's here about my youngest's wonderful experience is making me itchy to let her do it again. LOL

I'm thinking that since last year was for her birthday, I will allow her to "earn" it this time. With positive behavior :-) Don't expect her to be perfect but this will help for when she gets in a "royal pain mood" princess:

Am I crazy or what?? Oh Boy!

It sounds to me like it will make you and her happy so what's crazy about that. Life is memories and the more great memories the better. Go for it.:thumbsup2

I'm stuck in the same boat for the Fantasmic Dessert thing. Maybe I'll take my own advice and just go for it.:confused3

Man, I'm so tempted but as the mom to two little girlies who would LOVE this..I think I'm gonna have to 'pass'. I have considered taking our own fingernail polish and makeup and hair stuff and doing this for them every morning instead of paying for it ROFL. Our trip is a surprise, but I LOVE the idea of you having them earn it! That's fantastic :)

Well, I guess the reason I'm not terribly worried about "caving" is because our next vacation is June 2012. She would be soooo thrilled. I talked to her about it and she got the biggest smile on her face and said that she'd like to dress as Cinderella the next time. LOL

I know that I will probably let her do it....but maybe I will keep it a secret until we get to the boutique....I will let her know that we're going to look at the dresses and then surprise her with the makeover. She will be 6 years old when we go. :-)

Ohhhh I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE planning!

Do it while you can! They outgrow this soon enough and the moment is lost forever..... Consider yourself lucky and enjoy it while it lasts! I have only a son and have never experienced BBB......but the little girls I see once their 'makeover' is complete look so incredibly thrilled.:lovestruc

I know what you mean. My oldest would have never gone for it at 5 or 6....she definitely was not a girly-girl at that age (her fav toys were matchbox cars LOL). So, I'm enjoying all things girly-girl and pink with my youngest. LOL

Cool! Thanks for posting it for me. I planned our last trip in 6 months and thought it was a long was off.....but now I'm almost a year out on this one...ugh...hate the wait! LOL

Ours are always pretty far off so I 'get it!'!!! This is one reason I can't really justify the expense of BBB. But I'm hoping I can figure out other ways to make it 'magical'. I'd do BBB for SURE if you have plans of working it in! A point system is sooooo awesome :goodvibes

No big surprise if you read my post on the other BBB thread but I say DO IT!!! If its fun for you, fun for her and you can afford it, why not? My dd truly felt like a princess. It was priceless. Every time I look at the pix I smile remembering how happy she was. Great experience.

I'm actually thinking about going to WDW in jan 2013 when she turns five and doing a couple of the neat things they offer there like the tea party, etc. We went last year when she was 2.5 (my first wdw visit ever) but passed on most of that stuff because she really was too little. But I think 5 or 6 are the magic ages for fantasy stuff.

When Grandmas asked what DD would like for her bday, I said BBB! So they gave her Disney gift cards and I made a little sign that said she gets to go because of her grandmas. We texted one grandma during the appointment (other grandma still can't figure out the remote control so forget a cell phone:rotfl2:) and gave her the play by play so she could experience DD getting her gift. It is a bit pricey, but it was her favorite part of the 4 day trip. And OMG did she feel fancy walking around all day with that hair do, sash, etc. Plus we got to keep the left over make up, so we could do more make up and nails each morning at the hotel.

How neat!! My youngest still has the leftover makeup and wears it as often as I will let her. LOL The nail polish with the crown shaped cap is cool too. It IS pricey....but it is so cool to see the transformation of your child when she feels like a princess....and everyone in the park, CM's as well as other guests, saying "Happy Birthday, Princess" and having people walk up and ask to have their picture taken with a "real princess"....it just makes the day and trip all the more magical....my girl STILL talks about it...a year later. :-)
