I was charged $232 for making ADRs? HELP!

The penalty is $10 per person, not per reservation.

We have been scrambling to make our reservations for June since we once decided to go back in Feb. Because this is both my dd and nephew's first trip we are splurging on several character meals:

Disney Jr Breakfast @ H&V
SW Mickey and Friends Dinner @ H&V (special dining even for SW weekends only, also add Fanatasmic for only $5 more a person)
Breakfast @CRT
Lunch @ Crystal Palace

Plus two non-character meals:
Wishes Dessert Party
Via Napoli

I used my debit card for all the reservations and the only times I was charged were for CRT and Wishes Dessert Party.

What are all of your reservations for and for how many people?

Mickey's Backyard BBQ requires prepayment. And it's expensive (approx. $57 adults, $33 kids).

If you are on the dining plan they deduct the DP credits approximately the morning prior to the day of your ADR (and refund the price you paid). At least that is what they did August 2013. (Maybe now you can avoid paying up front if you have a dining plan package booked - but we did (we had free dining) and still had to pay up front and wait for the refund to the credit card.)

Just an alternate thought - maybe you booked a tour of some sort?? When I was charged for my Dolphin in Depth tour, it shows on my statement as WDWDINE...

I have the dining plan and I was charged for CRT for our June visit. When I called all they told me all I could do is let them know when we arrive at CRT and they will refund to my CC.
