Roliepolie, I work in Labor & Delivery, which is combined with post partum, but I mostly work on L&D because that is where the action usually is. We had 14 post partum patients, and they were all pretty quiet yesterday, lots of family visiting, but still not needing too much. Only one PROM patient who was stable on L&D. We also do high risk, but we don't have a separate unit, not yet. They are building on to the hospital and giving us 18 more beds, which will probably be used for high-risk patients. That'll give us a total of 55 beds for L&D, high risk antepartum, and post-partum.
Monday is looking to be hectic, 5 scheduled inductions, 2 5pm cytotecs and 2 scheduled c-sections, plus whatever else walks in the door. Thankfully, I'm not working Monday!
Newmousecateer, I still got to eat in the cafeteria, as I didn't get to leave until 7:30! It was okay....but it wasn't very hot! I like hot food hot, and cold food cold.
JasonLyons in the medical field, when you die, you
