Hi, I am lucky enough to be here right now. The photopass is great. The only problem is they are really short staffed (per the CMs). Too bad they weren't at the Royal Table this week or My disney Princess tea....On to my question. I have all my photos onlne. I am buying the CD for 99.99 since it is a steal compared to buying all the photos. I have checked with multiple CMS and there apparently is NO WAY to get autographs or borders on the photos when you buy the CD. Anyone have any ideas, I have been searching clipart sites, but nothing looks good. I can alter them on my own computer, but don't have anything to add. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Day 6 of 8 at WDW today.

when you purchase your cd they set it it up into two files. One is your original photos, the others are touched up. They can add the borders, autographs, little park symbols, ect. So to answer your question, whoever you spoke to was incorrect. Wish they had more people staffing the character areas. We decided to use our photopass too late in our trip, but still bought the cd for the pictures we had taken. We will definately take more on our next trip in October.

So if you buy the cd at the parks, you can add the borders etc. ? Just not if you do it online after the fact? I'm still unclear on this.

This is exactly the way it was explained to us. If the borders, etc are important, spend the time to do it in the park before you leave. Then it's saved onto the information and you can buy it at home.

*** Disclaimer **** I haven't actually done this, it's just what the CM told me. But he was the manager in the MGM photo store, and seemed to know exactly what the limitations were.

I haven't done this yet, but from my research here, it seems that if you want to get your CD enhanced, you have to buy it at the parks, specifically at ToonTown in MK or to the right of the "ball" :teeth: in Epcot. You might check that out.

Can someone let me know how many photos the photopass holds, and if you use more than one photopass, can all the photos be put on one CD ?

It sounds like it from this quote from a Photopass website:

"Disney's PhotoPass CD is $99.95 and includes all valid photos from your Disney's PhotoPass card(s). "

Notice that they say "card(s)".

You can put mutliple photopass cards on one CD
IF done at one of CD places they can do borders, Autographs etc to photos and modified images are in another folder on CD
I personally have CD with 416 images on it the unofficial word is no more than 400 images.
Places to have CD done are Store on 2nd fl Grand Floridian, Toon Town in MK, Camera center in Epcot and World of memories store in DTD. They may have added more since my trip in early may but those are ones I know of and was in.

Yes, you CAN get the borders and special touches. They will do it for you when you go to get the CD burned. (But you can't do it after you get home.)
My advice, go get it during the middle of the day and they will have more time to work with you on it. DON'T wait until night when EVERYONE is trying to get pics...it took us over an hour in this line and they don't have much time to work w/ them.
Also, ask the CMs taking the pics to take extra "magic shots." :thumbsup2

I am wondering if you can have 'ride' photos added to your photopass? Or is it only available for park pictures? And are there plenty of photographers around the park to take plenty of pictures?
I am really looking forward to using this service since my DH is never in any pictures since he is the one taking them all the time...

Bev

They're working on incorporating ride photos into PhotoPass, but it's not available at this time. We added the borders and autographs at the Judges Tent and the Photo Center near Spaceship Earth in EPCOT and were able to put all those on the cd with absolutely no problem. I don't think you can get some enhancements put on the cd if you do it after you've left WDW.

In my experience, you can always find photographers near each park icon, especially around the Castle. They're not in the nice nooks and crannies yet, although they are near Tower of Terror and Rock N Roller Coaster, so in MGM, so I'm hoping that they also put them near the mountain ranges, especially E:E.

Thanks eveyone for your responses, and the CD seems the way to go especially for those who never get to be in any of the shots. I normally take approx 1200 photos during one WDW trip, and normally only in 1 or 2, so I think DW will agree if we take advantage of the photopass every park we visit, do the cd towards last day or next to last, well work out great.

Once we get home with the CD, will we be able to print the pictures off my own system, or can we take the CD to Walmart or Walgreens to have them
printed? I know sometimes when you have these pictures taken, you can't print them yourself ?

Thanks in advance,

You get a copyright release with the CD. I just had my PhotoPass pictures printed at Wal-Mart this week. They did want a copy of the release and I had to fill out and sign a form stating I had permission to print them.

I have personally spoken with the people at photopass grand floridian and at downtown disney memory store. They assure me there is no way to get autographs or borders. You used to be able to, but I think it is their way to make people still buy the photos and stay away from their busy photo computers. The official ruling is cd is 99.99 whether purchased here or online at home. CD comes with no ability to enhance, border, or autograph. 300 pictures is suppose to be the limit. (FYI animal kingdom today-saw only 2 photo pass photographers the whole day!!!!)

Now, I am off to hunt for bootleg clip art of autographs or 2006 WDW insignia to enhance my own photos!!!! Any ideas?
Thanks

Well than I guess I'll be going back to no cd next trip because I can't afford 99.95 and not get anything special beyond what I have on personal camera.

I just had my CD burned a week ago today (the 12th) at Epcot and you could still do the borders and autographs at that time.

I was able to add borders and enhancements to the cd at both ToonTown and EPCOT and get them burned on the cd. The picture in my signature has Aurora's autograph and Disney added it on at ToonTown and put it on the cd. We had ours burned on the way out of EPCOT after park closing on the last day of the trip. Now, it may be that DTD and Grand Floridian can't do the enhancements, but I had it done inside both park locations.
