Just a quick post from the Burbank library on Buena Vista (about to go to a taping of The Big Bang Theory). I went to DL yesterday and today. Yesterday the crowds were heavier than I expected and it was rather warm. Today, however, park attendance was much lighter and the weather was perfect. In the first 25 minutes or so I got on four rides: Peter Pan (first, of course), Mr. Toad, SW and Pinocchio. Had to leave by 2:00 to make it to Burbank before traffic set in. but I got on POTC and HM at least twice. Also BTMRR twice. Ate at Rancho Del Zocalo, my favorite at DL. Oh: also hit Indy twice and Jungle Cruise and Space Mountain once. Also, Alice in Wonderland. Yesterday I went on Tower of Terror for the first time ever. I've always been too scared ;-).

The big news: I've got a drive-on pass for Disney studios tomorrow. I'll spend a few hours there (hope to post several pics upon my return) and then head for the airport to return to 30-degree Chicago. I still love my home town, despite it's bad ideas about what it gives us for weather.

Cheers,

Rob

Glad you had fun! I love un-crowded early mornings. Driving on Disney studios sounds so fun!

How did you like Tower of Terror? I despise drops so I've never been. :flower3: Do you hate drops too?

Glad you had a great time. The weather first of the week was great! Today, 57 and drizzly, rain predicted tonite.

How was the taping of BBT? I recently discovered this show and really enjoy it. So funny!

Can't wait to hear about DS as well. I've never been there, only driven by it (and managed to snap a few pictures as I was driving!)

oooh BBT! love that show!

That is a whole lotta rides to do in such a small amount of time, thank goodness for low crowds!

Glad your having a great time! I want to see pics!!! Thanks!

I did like it. Yes, like you, I'm not a big fan of drops. But I'm glad that I did it. It was cool going to Disney and being able to ride on something new -- as much as I love my old standbys: BTMRR, POTC and HM. Oh, and Matterhorn. And the list goes on... ;-).

awesome i love the Big Bang Theory! How did you get to attend the taping? I can't wait for you pictures.

Someone I know works on Two and A Half Men -- same producer as BBT :-).

Went to Disney Studios yesterday. Kind of neat. I'll try to get pics up over the weekend. Also, went to George Barris' custom shop right after Disney Studios. George is a car customizer. He created the Batmobile for the original Batman show. He keeps the first two original cars in his showroom. Very nice guy.

I can't wait to go to sleep tonight. It was a great trip but I'm tired. I also went to Big Bear, Joshua Tree and for a Lamborghini and Porsche ride. It was a busy vacation. Here are two pics from Monday's joy rides. More pics soon.

I love the BBT. How wonderful for you.
I tried to watch it once, but couldn't get past the laugh track. Do they do that for every show? Since they have a live audience maybe they don't. Sounds like an interesting show otherwise.
