I WAS all set for POR but ...

revisiting the budget it appears it will be POP (like $600 less). How should I feel?
It will be next summer and we do take midday breaks. It appears the busses are better at POP but the pool at POR.
We stayed at ASMo and i think they will be alike. Also appears it will be a big party, like 12 people. and like 10 days. any help with the food court and all will be appreciated.

good about saving $600!!! POP is considered "Moderate Lite" by many, myself included! If you want to be real happy with your location, without paying for a "preferred" (60's) room, request either 50's or 70's. I like to stay on the top (4th) floor because it's the quietest. The food court is fine - lots of variety. The bus service is better than the other Values as it is dedicated just to POP!

We stayed at both last summer. I thought the bus service between the two was actually about the same for your wait time. The rooms at Riverside are really cute. Wood furnature, two bathroom sinks, we even saw little lizards in the brush(you had to really look to find them). The pools are awesome at POR, they have water slides and you can use the pool at both french quarter and riverside (both have slides). POP does not have any slides, but still very nice. POR also has a butterfly garden, direct access to the boats going to DTD. It really depends on your budget. We didn't spend all that much time in the rooms so POP works for us. I hope this helps.
