yet Deb's site says they are closing May 10th for refurb....has there been a change? I got a ressie # and it all seemed on the up and up...:confused3

There was a thread on here a couple of days ago saying that they had post-poned the refurbishment. Apparently you can book for ADR's there now! :goodvibes

Have you had dinner there recently? We were just there for dinner a few weeks ago and we thought their menu was awful. We had eaten there in November of 2007 and really liked it. This time (we had friends with us) I ended up just having the tortilla soup and my husband actually had the kids quesadilla. A huge disappointment!

I agree! We had lunch there about a month ago, I ended up ordering the appetizer size salad because I couldn't find anything I would like.

Wow! I thought I was the only one:rotfl2:
We had eaten there a few years ago and really liked it but now I can not find any of the food we liked on the menu. I did not book there because of this. I was hoping for a menu change with the refurb. I so love the atmosphere there. It reminds me of the Blue Bayou Restaurant at Disneyland.

Had dinner there in Sept on my honeymoon had been there twice before over the yrs, food was very bland. I was suprised the dishes did not come with rice, beans, potatos or any kind of side dish. Hopefully they will redo the menu at the same time they do the refurb, its a beautiful restaurant.

How is the refurb going to work will the pavillion be open? I was wondering about the ride. Its a sentimental fave..

I missed the thread about the postponment of the rehab;) so good news.
Yes we ahve eaten there every year we go. May of last year was the last time. Yes...their menu is hard...but....

we have found a couple things we really like there and they have a good selection of tequila:drinking1:)

as far as sides...they have really good refried black beans, so we just order those on the side of our meal whether it comes with it or not. we think the ambience really makes up for the non exciting food;)

The atmosphere was wonderful...the food..NOT! I think I would enjoy sitting and having a Marguerita while soaking up the atmosphere, but I doubt I would go back for dinner unless they change the menu.

We had originally booked a dinner but after looking at the menus, we decided to switch to lunch. Seemed like more options, it"ll be less crowded, and less expensive.
