The diners: Myself (23... turning 24!), DH (25), and my best friend (24) on his first trip. We aren't big drinkers, so that doesn't matter... we're probably too cheap to buy alcohol (aside from a grey goose slushy in france... that is a must have!).

DH and DBFF (is that right?) are both big eaters with big appetites.

Night 1: Early dinner at Scifi (Fantasmic night... not seeing Fantasmic is not an option... I don't care how long I have to be in line! :rotfl: )
Night 2: LTT dinner (DH commanded this! He is in love with the place)
Night 3: GG dinner
Night 4: ??? dinner

I was thinking Kona maybe? I want to stay close to MK, and no restaurants other than LTT have ever seemed to interest me from their menus *in* MK. There are PM EMH this night, so sticking close to MK is definitely in the cards.

Ohana. Especially if you are considering Kona, I would do Ohana.
Otherwise- Chef Mickeys, Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Even somewhere in Epcot you could go too. there are so many great restaurants there.. Or.. You could definitely do Ohana's or Kona.. Those are 2 of the restaurants that we are going to in May, in addition to LTT, first night as well..

I havent heard much praise for Garden Grill around here. I would choose something more adventurous in Epcot.

We are also fans of O'hana, but our new favorite restaurant is The Wave.

:crazy2::crazy2: I deff do not like Garden Grill... lol...

I vote O'hana's as your last choice too!!!!

The Wave at CR is very good and has a lovely upscale feeling, if you like that. If you really want to stay in MK that night, and I agree the TS options are not good, you could have a nice lunch that day instead and do Pecos Bills or something for dinner. Ohana and WCC are both good suggestions, especially for someone who has never done them. After a long day at the parks with 3 kids, I don't look forward to the shouting, etc at WCC, but if you are in the right mood, it can be fun.

If you enjoy these stick w them but I don't care for any of these.

Nt 1 Fantasmic get package if possible and do Mama Melrose.
nt 2 Anywhere on monorail around Bay Lake. Ohana, Wave, California Grill, etc.
Nt 3 Anywhere else in EPCOT WS but GG also try Coral reef
nt 4 Big Apps for the guys WCC or a buffet or Mickeys BBQ.
Enjoy hope we help.

We LOVE Garden Grill at Epcot. It's a must do every trip, and every time it's been great!!!!

We've done sci-fi a couple of times, the atmosphere is so fun, but the food was never good for us. we tried 50's prime time cafe our last trip instead of sci-fi and it was SPECTACULAR! our waiter was hilarious and the food was fantastic home cooked meals. Highly recommend 50's!

Well, from your previous choices, you guys don't seem like very adventurous eaters. I may be wrong so please don't get offended! If you are more inclined to "safer" food choices, I'm not sure Kona would be the best choice. Plus, I don't feel they're portions are that big. My DH said he was still slightly hungry after our last dinner there.

If you're on a budget, I probably wouldn't recommend California Grill at the CR, although we LOVE their food and they do have large portions.

I've never been to Ohana but I hear the portions are large. It gets pretty mixed reviews though on the quality of the food.

I have to agree with PP that WCC seems it might be a good fit for you. If you get the skillet, it's all you can eat and most of the items are pretty good. And of course they'll refill whichever items you like best. And it's only a short ride to WL. Seems like it'd be what you're looking for this night.

Hope this helped. Good luck! :goodvibes

If seeing Fantasmic is an option - and you want to eat early anyway - why not consider Mama Melrose or Hollywood and Vine? Just a thought. Sci-Fi is a really fun restaurant and the burgers are really good. So, if you WANT Sci-Fi, it's a good option.

GG is Garden Grill? We ate there and the character interaction was really good, but it was our least favorite of all the restaurants we ate, especially at Epcot. BUT, a lot of people really like it there. It just wasn't our cup of tea.

For big eaters there's always Trails End buffet at Fort Wilderness, across the water from MK.

I too recommend doing a Fantasmic dinner package for night one. You get a pass for a preferred seating section and don't have to get there quite as early.

I vote for Kona or The Wave. I too second a different option for Epcot, there are so many good ones!

I would vote for Kona or GF Cafe. We had a delicious supper at GF Cafe last trip. Also I must say we have always enjoyed GG. The interaction with the characters can't be beat and the food has always been good.

GG not so great...good characters but much better food elsewhere in th WS. SciFi is fun but food at 50's prime time much better.
