Can anyone suggest a hotel that has a good view fo the fireworks? I suspect our little ones (2 1/2 and 7 mo.) will need to be back to the room by the time the sky lights up. Disneyland Hotel? Camelot (used to be Park Inn)? I am also trying to stay within walking distance of the gate at Dineyland becuase I hate the idea of waiting for a shuttle at the end of our day at the park.

Thanks!

The Disneyland Hotel has three towers, all of which have rooms that may have views of the fireworks. To guarantee a view however you would need to book a theme park view room at a higher nightly rate. Sometimes you will luck out with just a standard view, but you never know. I believe the pool deck at the Paradise Pier also has a good vantage point. Offsite, the Camelot (formerly Park Inn) has a great view of the fireworks from their fourth story pool area. We stayed there awhile back and I was surprised at how good the view was, and in parts you could even hear the music faintly. The HoJo also has some rooms that have a view of the park, if you don't get one of those, the pool area, the hot tub in particular, has a good view. I am sure there are many others but those are the ones I have stayed in that have firework viewing available one way or another. Maybe your little ones will be able to stay up for them, they are so much better in the park due to all the visual effects and the music. However, the life of a parent sometimes isn't so flexible! Good luck with your planning!

We stayed @ the Park Inn/Camelot a year ago.The pool area(4th floor) is a great place to watch the fireworks.imho.You can't hear the music ,but the view can't be beat.As for walking distance ,no prob,as long as you have a stroller/s for your little munchkins at the end of a long day. ;)
p.s. do me and yourself a favor,HAVE FUNN! :cool1:

We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel with a standard view room. Is there anywhere on the hotel property that is a good spot for fireworks? We wouldn't have to be in the room, but it would be nice to skip the crowd at the park.

We could see the fireworks pretty well from the upper floor of the Candy Cane Inn (stood by the railing of the walkway in front of our room).

In November we had a pretty good view of the fireworks from a bench in Downtown Disney....just in front of the Libby Lu store.

The Howard Johnson Plaza has some rooms in their tower that are Park View rooms. I had one that had an incredible view as that hotel is closer to where they shoot them off from. Some of these rooms will have trees blocking the view to a degree though.

We have booked a room at the Desert Inn & Suites (in case my dad's timeshare doesn't come thru) and they apparently have an observation deck on the top of their hotel. Theya re accross from DL on Harbor.

We had a city view room in the Marina tower and had a great view. If you end up with a standard room in that tower you might be okay.

We watched the fireworks one night while floating in the pool at the HoJo. You really don't get a real appreciation for them though unless you see them from inside the park with all the music and effects.

IMHO GCH downtown disney view can't be beat when it comes to viewing the fireworks from your room!

Hilton Anaheim with a Disney view has a straight view to the castle and the fireworks. I stay there all the time and have a great view of the fireworks.

The West Coast - now the Sheraton - has great views from every floor. If you get a Disneyland view room you can watch them from your balcony. It might not be classed as 'walking distance' though, it's about 8 mins away.

we stayed at the farifield inn marriott and had a room that we could see the fireworks. Not all do though so I guess either you can request or just luck out.

We stayed at the DL hotel in a 1 BR suite room 5778 I believe and had a perfect view of the fireworks in both the living area and bedroom.
