I would like to maybe rent doc points. Unsure how to start looking for someone to rent from - total newbie to renting. Any pointers???

When you get put on a wait list, do you just have a deposit down? Or do they collect only if they can accommodate you?

It depends what you are on a wait list for. Are you on a wait list for points as Davids has no AKV points currently available to rent.

Or are you on a wait list for a room as David's has the points but the room isn't available?

We submitted the $98 David's requires to do the search but no other payments were made. If they can't find what we are looking for, we can ask to be removed from the wait list and they will refund the $98.

We're on the wait list because there is availability at AKV but there aren't enough points at this time.

Thanks for all of your help! We checked with dvcrentalstore.com and they were able to find a member with enough points and booked us for AKV! We were removed from the wait list for Davids.

Ashley I tried to send you a private message but it wouldn't work - we are in the same situation and I would love to hear how you handled switching rental companies. Did you take your name off the waitlist of one before you paid at another?
