Hubby and I were chatting last night about the type of content people like to read/watch, etc. He and I differ on what we think the most popular would be. So, what is your favorite?

Other. I'm much too eclectic a reader/watcher to pick a favorite genre. Mostly mystery series -- reading and watching.

I voted Sci-Fi, but generally I mean light Sci-Fi - like Star Wars. I do like a lot of "Hard Sci-Fi" too, but it's not my favorite.

Other: Non-fiction, true stories, biographies, memoirs. I don't watch any of it on television but these are the types of books I enjoy reading. I've never been able to get into any fiction genres myself.

I voted other because I like a quality show on TV/movies. Doesn't matter the genre, I don't have a favorite. I like it all if it's good.

Books would be, horror? Sci-fi? I don't know, favorite 2 authors are Dean Koontz for the horror/sci-fi whatever you would call it (or both) and Clive Cussler which is adventure genre of novels.

I voted other because I have more than one.
* Romance/Rom Coms
* Historical/Period Pieces
* Comedy (but I'm picky with comedy and if it's stupid or raunchy comedy I don't like it but I love sitcoms, especially classic sitcoms)
* Thriller

I love historical fictions

I'd say action movies that aren't all big effects and explosions. Think Bourne/Equalizer/The International instead of Marvel/Transformers.

I also like Drama and documentaries but the above style is my favorite.

Don't have one particular favorite. Basically I like shows/movies that entertain me. I'm not big into dark, horror, preachy movies about how terrible the human condition is.

To read? I like a good biography or historical nonfiction
To watch? I like history type programs, but not docudramas or dramas- various travel/cooking type shows, and a decent funny comedy sitcom.

I don't cling to any one genre. I like Thrillers, as well as some that blend genres. You forgot Westerns as well.

I chose Romance because I got a stash of free historical romance novels from a supermarket that was going to throw them away a couple of years ago. I couldn't bear to see books being thrown away, so I asked if I could have them (They had been in a bin marked 'free'.) These things are like potato chips, they're addictive. I had forty books and I spent that summer reading them all. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed them-the plots were fun and sexy, and they were really well written. I admit I was a bit of a book snob before, but now I always check a couple out of the library along with the weightier stuff I tend to read.

If we're talking TV, I watch lots of documentaries. I *love* watching history documentaries.
