I want to go for New Year's!

I want to go to Disney for New Year's. I know it's crazy busy, but it's my birthday and I'm just dying to do something awesome for my birthday next year (2017) with just myself and hubby. I'm thinking about just 3 or 4 days. Give me thoughts on which resorts would be the best to stay at and other things to do. I don't want to spend crazy amounts of money (it pains me to pay too much for a room because all you really do there is sleep), but I'll have a year to save so I don't feel the need to do Disney on the super cheap either.

So, give me ideas!

If it was me I would definitely stay at a resort with a fireworks view such as Contemporary, Poly, etc. or at the very least plan ahead and do something where you can get a view of the fireworks show. Have fun planning.

I personally like staying longer and saving money on the resort helps that. Like you, I just view the room as a place to sleep so I don't need much in the room to make me comfortable. Since this is an adult couple trip, with a birthday and new years, I would personally consider one of the resorts with the nicer restaurants that I would probably skip if a smaller child was with us.
