"I Want To Go Back!!!"....a Sept 2010 PTR(upd 10/12-TR Started!)

Sounds like so much fun. I would spend way too much time and money if I decided to scrapbook, so I try and stay away from it. But all the scrapbooking stuff looks amazing, especially the disney stuff!

OOh, definitely post pictures! I have always wanted to scrapbook too, so I also have a a multitude of occasions to catch up. Maybe your pictures will get me motivated to start at least our last Disney trip.

Please post pics Meghan! They sound awesome!

If you ever decide to do Walgreens printing again look for a code for cheaper prints or "buy 25, get 25" deals. They are always running them.
I know how you feel about Walmart but honestly I like their developing better. Walgreens prints sometimes come out blurry or with not very good coloring. I've always been pleased with Walmart but hate going there!

Is Maddie dancing in the parade this weekend? We may be going downtown on Sunday, depending on the weather!

Congrats on getting so much done so quickly! Maybe you'll inspire me. I have almost 18 years of pictures and memorabilia in several boxes (organized by year, at least), with the promise that I'll eventually finish Katie's scrapbook. She laughs about it. It's all about finding (or making) the time. I would love to see pics of some of your finished product!

Thanks! It can definately feel overwhelming, but I think I've got a good system.

It is a lot of fun! I've spent a good amount of money, but my mom has let me borrow all of her scissors, markers, etc which is a big money saver. I think I've bought all of the Disney paper and stickers available!

I promise I'll post pics soon!!!

Welcome to the addiction! I still haven't completed my AlbumS from Thanksgiving trip 2007. We went back in Sept. I have all the pictures printed but have not started the albums. Yes I say albums because it always ends up being 2 or more. I have 4 so far from 2007 trip. Have fun.

WOW! 4 albums from one trip! I thought that I took a lot of pictures! I am having a ton of fun scrapbooking and I don't know why I didn't start sooner.

These are the 1st scrapbooks I've ever done. I have pics of Madison from birth- about 3 years old in photo boxes. After 3, I have them in Kodak galleries online. Someday, I will do a scrapbook for her. I'm thinking about what my mom did for me and my sisters. She gave us scrapbooks as HS graduation gifts and they're beautiful! She has birth through Senior year of HS and all the things we did inbetween.

So sweet! I'm sure she'll love that. My mom started my scrapbook when I was in 3rd or 4th grade (I helped a little, but she did most of it). Then, the summer after 5th grade, I started doing my own. I have one album of birth through JH. And then one for just HS. I love, love, love looking through all of them. I'm sure Maddie will love it too!

I love looking through my scrapbook my mom made. It's so much fun to look at pics of me when I was Maddie's age and see how much she looks like me.

Meghan - I just want to suggest that you start working on Maddie's books sooner rather than later! If you're like me, you'll have TONS of pictures you want to put in. I don't spend a lot of time getting the books done, but I am only up to Sarah starting Kindergarten and she's half way through third grade. With Paige's I'm about at when she's 2 years old! Plus doing vacation books etc. in between slows down my progress.
I don't want to have to do 8 years worth when she's a senior in high school to get it done for graduation. So I'm plugging away. Plus it's easier to do them when your memories are fresher. And because you're so excited about it now, you're likely to get a lot done!

Just a thought - take it with a grain of salt if you want.

I'd love to see photos of your pages! I love scrapbooking so much, but it takes me forever because I'm so OCD. I still have about 10 more pages to do for our August 2009-- I tend to go by "themes" (specific rides, parks, etc.) rather than days-- days would probably be much easier and take up less time, though! The stickers you can buy at Michaels are incredible-- I probably have spent over $100 on Disney stickers/paper (and even more on other scrapbooks)! :scared1: It's so hard to commit to using one of my expensive ones on a page-- even though I know that's what they're there for!

I know I should start a book for Madison soon, but I can't get motivated. I love my daughter dearly, but Disney is so much easier to do! All of the Disney papers and stickers are all in one place and I don't have to go searching. I think my mom started mine when I started my senior year of HS!!!!

I felt like I had too many stickers when I first started my Disney books. Well, now I only have a few left!!! But, I know they went to good use and have made my pages look beautiful.

:yay: for scrapbooking!! Are you going to share pictures of it? I want to finish our scrapbook from our first trip--once classes slow down next month that is what I plan on doing.

I will definately post pics soon!

Just wanted to let you all know that I might be MIA for a few days! Madison was in a show this morning and she has 2 more before a parade tomorrow. I didn't know about either of these sets of shows until last night, so it's been a bit crazy over here! Sunday is another parade and we're celebrating my mom's birthday (which is Monday). Of course, Maddie has 2 more shows on Monday evening and another one on Sat (3/20). I'll try not to stay away too long!

WOW!!! Have fun!! I'm sure you'll be exhausted come Monday! Madison too! I hope the weather is good for parades!

We'll be here when you get back!

Since ADR's are all I've been thinking about lately, I thought I'd come share my list with all of you. These are all the places I'd like to eat at someday(blue is new, red is where I've been before):

Yak & Yeti-don't know if Maddie would like it
50's Prime Time Cafe-haven't eaten here since I was 15 yo
Mama Melrose
-thinking about the Fantasmic pkg
Garden Grill-haven't heard much about it
Teppan Edo- heard wonderful things, again, not sure about Maddie
Tutto Italia
-ate here when it was still Alfredo's
Coral Reef - heard mixed reviews
CRT- I've always wanted to eat inside the Castle!
Crystal Palace- DD and DH loved it here in Jan
Cape May Cafe-We were supposed to eat here in June, really want to check out the BC
1900 PF-I think the Step-Sisters are hysterical!
Chef Mickey's- One of the favs!
Kona
- I really want to try tonga toast
'Ohana- could be bfask or dinner; both seem yummy
WCC- mixed reviews
Hoop Dee Doo-this looks like so much fun
Spirit of Aloha- heard nothing but wonderful things

Now, I just need to narrow this down to 7 TS credits. I'd love to do a dinner show or CRT, but do I really want to part with 2 credits? I would love to hear everyone's input because I haven't eaten at the majority of these places. If a place has all meals, which is better (bfast, lunch, dinner)??

Hey girl...sorry it's taken me soooo long to get here!!! I was having all that trouble with my laptop, and missed your first few days!!! I will have to go back and catch up, but wanted to talk about food before I forgot!!
50s Prime Time~ We try to eat there every trip...it's very interactive..if you do not do the dining plan, Maddie can definitely split with you Meghan...even the kids portions are huge!!!
Garden Grill~ this is a rotating resteraunt and you slowly go allll the way around seeing different scense as you eat. It is slow enough you don't feel motion or anything..so dont worry about getting sick. Mickey, Pluto and Chip & Dale come around...the food is served Family Style...pretty good too. The veggies (and I think the fish) come from the bottom part of the Land Pavilion. If you ever take that boat ride and see that food...thats what it is!!!! We really enjoy this place..it's different but the food is good and how many places can you eat where it rotates!!!!??
CRT~ LOVE IT!! But...if you don't do the ddp...split the food with Maddie...you think you can eat it all, but you just can't!!! We do the DDP so we get the free pics(but they really aren't free...takes 2 credits!) but you can take pics with her with your own camera. Have done lunch & supper, not breakfast...
Crystal Palace~ I am on the fence with this one...the kids are so hyped...being afraid of missing their 'turn' with the characters that they can hardly eat...we have done this twice and both times they have complained within the hour that they were hungry!!!The food is okay..it's buffet...I really would rather do something different if I had to pick..and isn't it 2 credits?
Cape May Cafe~ Only had breakfast here..it was really good I thought...I like their breakfast yogurt/granola/fruit choices better than Chef Mickeys...the characters seem to spend more time here with you than at Chef Mickeys too. We did Chef Mickeys in Jan just because we were there..I would have rather went to Cape May!
1900 PF~ We have been here once,,I think twice but I can't be sure! The Characters are neat..the food reminded me of the same buffet stuff at Crystal Palace..again..this one is good for more character interaction..
O'Hana...I am not a huge bacon & eggs girl but let me tell you...that Lilo and Stitch are some of the best characters in allllll of WDW!!! I was really surprised how hysterical they were!!!! My boys really enjoyed this breakfast!!
Hoop Dee Doo~ the kids still talk about this dinner!!!!! It really is something you should do at least once!! We got tier I or whatever the best seats are..our table and one other were dead center right next to the stage..it was almost tooo close.. but Oh My Lord... they were soooooo funny!! And being a dancer you would love it. The girls on stage kept talking to us and making faces at Gracie...she loved it. Then they bring out Strawberry Shortcake for dessert and it is wonderful. DS10 just wanted to go back last trip for the dessert!! We didn't go back tho....but we will probably do it next time again. Beware.....it's freezing in there!!!
One more that I don't know if you are interested in at MK is Tony's...we really enjoy this place..but it's pretty cold in there too--my kids have had to ask for extra table napkins to cover up with!!!!

Thanks Shawna!!!! CP is only 1 credit....we've been talking about maybe paying OOP to eat at CRT (if we start saving and stop spending!!!). That way, we wouldn't lose 2 TS credits.

Now, here's a question for all of you. What is the best meal at CRT?? As you know, we are huge breakfast people, but is lunch or dinner really wonderful? What is everyone's favorite dish to get if you've been for lunch or dinner?

We had the same questions about CRT. Then I just looked at the menus, read reviews and figured that with our family, I knew we'd like breakfast better. My kids always will eat breakfast, but dinners are much iffy-er (nice word!) since they are picky. Plus the plan for this trip is to take more time at the resort since it will be hot! So breakfast it is for us!
The timing worked out better with our touring/dining plans.

Good luck! When is your ADR date? End of March sometime?

Hey girl!! I'm also dying to see your scrapbooking pictures!! I LOVE scrapbooking. I try so hard. It's my goal to get all caught up this year. I have Landon's first month of life scrapbooked and that's it. I think I want to transfer it though because right now the pages are 8.5x11 and I think I want to do the big 12x12!! I also have part of my Disney one done.

I just need to get organized. Not just with pictures, but all my supplies! I have SO MUCH stuff. Not just stickers, but an embosser, stamps and even a Cricut!! It's all just a mess right now though. I need to get it together and catch up on everything!!

Hope you have a fabulous Monday!

I feel your pain!!! At least your son is only 1! I'm really far behind. But here's the trick. If you have space, set up a spot with all your supplies. Put them in bins, shelves, some sort of organizers. Then have some work space. I finally rearranged our office, sold the futon that was just collecting junk and set a table up with my scrapbooking stuff. If it's always out and ready, you can spend any half hour doing something. Of course, I'm a bit hypocritical, because I haven't done much since I set it up!! My weekend retreats with friends are where I get most of my work done. But my just turned 9 year old's book is at the point where she's started kindergarten. So really, don't feel bad, you're not very far behind at all!!!
Maybe that's what I'll do today after I do a little work from home (sick kid- not bad). Go sit in the office and scrap! Really if I spent as much time scrapping as I do DISing, I'd be caught up!!! LOL!!

Madison can be pretty picky too. While we're at Disney, all she eats is pizza, chicken nuggets and mac and cheese. Not really a wholesome diet!!! We do love breakfast and we're always happy with bacon and eggs. I'll have to look at my tentative plans and see where I can fit it in. Our ADR date is March 26th!!!!!

I love the 12x12 scrapbooks. The pages are nice and you can fit lots of pics and stickers. Maybe I'll try to take a few pics today since I'm just lounging around. I can't believe you have a Cricut!!! That is awesome!!! I bought a few totes to put all my stuff in. One hold all my stickers, glue, scraps of paper, etc and then I have another one that's just for paper. I don't really have a designated area to keep everything though. We only have 3 bedrooms and the 3rd one is our office. With 2 computer desks, there really isn't any room for a craft table. So, for the time being, I just pull everything out onto my dining room table and work for awhile. Then, I have to pack everything back up and put it away. Not fun!
