Looks like a good list to me, too! I love all the magic shots that I see on people's TR. I never remember to ask for them though when I'm actually there. One side note, I guess they can only do the magic shots during the day. We were at AK and I wanted to try the baby Simba shot with my little gal and apparently since it was evening, the lighting was not right. They said to try again in the daytime.

Sounds like you had a great weekend! The weather was beautiful up here for us too.

Oh - I started a TR if you might be interested in our May trip. I did think of you all the time at Pop. I know how much you love staying there and we had a great experience. So many towel animals!

As I put in my update yesterday, the hard drive on our laptop decided to die the other day. At first, I didn't think I had anything on there that I'd miss. Every time I upload pics, I pic them in my photobucket account, so no worries there. As I was about to get out of bed this morning, sheer panic set in. I had totally forgotten about all the things I had saved in Microsoft Word. The one thing that totally put me in full-blown panic mode was my WDW packing list. I had put so much time and effort into that and now it was all gone. I immediately logged onto my desktop computer to see if I had somehow saved it on there.

I opened my Microsoft Word to see that all I had was the Ultimate Packing List from themouseforless.com. That was at least a starting point! I had made a list before our Jan trip (or was it June) and then I read over the one from the website. I then created our own ultimate list. While sitting sadly at my computer, I remember that I had emailed MY list to a great friend from the DIS (stacikristine). I had no idea if it would still be in my sent folder, but I had to take a look.

To my amazement, I had sent emails dated back to 2006!!!! I knew that email to Staci was going to be there. After a bit of searching....I FOUND IT!!! I was so happy! Of course, I had added to the list quite a bit since I emailed it to her, but it's SO much better than starting over. I quickly started adding to it and I think I'm almost caught up. It doesn't look quite as long as I remembered, but I'll get it where it needs to be over these next 4 months. I'll be sure to save it to BOTH computers (or put it on a flash drive) from now on.

Thank goodness you were able to recover your list!! A good friend of mine had the same thing happen to her laptop-- hardrive died. However, she wasn't as careful as you and lost ALL of her pictures-- including ones of her dog who had recently passed away. She had some on Facebook but wasn't able to recover everything. Thank God you had emailed Staci your list!!

Okay, that settles it! I'm going to go buy a portable hard drive and back up ALL my pictures from both computers on it right away! I had planned to do so last fall, and didn't and my desktop died. Tons of older pictures on that one that I'm still hopeful one of my IT buddies can retrieve. But now I'm really concerned. Thanks for the reminder and I'm glad you found at least part of your packing list!

Hopefully you'll get more towel animals this time around. We got one every day of our stay! And they just got better and better. It made going back to the room so much more fun!

I seriously leaped out of bed this morning. I was in such a panic!

Sounds like a good idea. I have a Kodak program on my desktop that I use to edit my photos. I took the time a few months ago to upload all of my albums onto the Kodak website. I don't plan on buying the pics from them, but at least they're safe! Besides, all of my Disney pics are in scrapbooks now.

I was so happy to find that sent email. It was truly a lifesaver.

I'm beyond relieved that I was able to find my packing list. It was not looking like a good day this morning, but all is well now.

Oh yeah!!! I went and got my hair chopped off this morning AND I got some highlights!!! I'm not promising anything...but I'll try to take some pics eventually.

Bad news about your PC. We actually lost our desk-top 6 months ago but luckily we had purchased a PC backup program and we were able to restore everything. I have SOO much saved on that PC, we were lucky. I try to burn my pics to disks every year but now I'm going to try and stay on top of that.

I'm sooo ready for summer! This weather is just killing me!

I love the girls at my Bangs (I go to the one on the Boulevard). The manager of that location actually lives in my neighborhood!

We've had our desktop computer since Dec 2004 and it's never had any problems. It goes a little slow every now and then, but with Fios, things move pretty quickly.

Starting today, the weather looks great! It's supposed to be 81 tomorrow!

My computer also died about a month ago. I've been using the one in DS's room since then. DH is buying a new one while he's in the States and is going to bring it back with him--4.5 more weeks! We have an external hard drive that we use to back it up, but I don't think it's been done in a while. So I'm starting to worry about what might never be seen again.

Girl, you almost lost your list! You probably have more than you think. Also, I saw that you upload all your pics to Photobucket. Our photos are one of our most valuable (in our minds) possessions. We have them ALL stored on our external drive (in original high-res format). When our neighbors' home burned down a couple of weeks ago, the first thing I said was that if our house were to ever burn (knock on wood), I'd make sure people and animals were safely out, then grab my external drive and bail!

By the way, when do we get to see your new hairdo?

I know....I do upload the important stuff to photobucket or Kodak (I think I've even uploaded some pics to Walmart's website). I know they are safe and sound in my online photo albums.

I will probably take pics on Saturday at Madison's class feis, so I'll be sure to take a pic of her with me. By then, our new laptop hard drive should be here!
