I want to be under 200 pounds...Anyone else??

I would love to join the under 200 club. Back in Nov 05 I joined W.I.S.H with great expectations on myself and then In Dec 05 I had a fire that destoyed my home the week before christmas, which sent me right into an eating binge that continues today I weigh 228 and want to get control. I have finally been able to get connected back to this great site and I hope to get motivated.
Thanks for listening.

Hey all! I definitely want to... I am 16 years old and currently weigh 275 pounds. Hey all! I am trying again to get healthy. I have stage 2 hypertenison, high cholesterol, and are at risk for type 2 diabetes. I hope to eat healthier and exersise in time for my tenth grade year. In order to reach my ldeal range of 109-132 lbs I need to lose at least 150 lbs. I am going to eat right, and walk and swim every day.

I am down from 252 on December 15th to 221.8 at my last WW meeting June 22nd. I am focused on the 199 number right now, although I know I want to lose more than that. I've been more than 200 lbs. since I got pregnant with my first and she's going to be 17 on Augst 4th.

Anyway, I have been going to WW and losing an average of 1.1 lbs per week. I doubt it's realistic to hope for much more than that, although I know I could exercise more. I'll be happy if I can get to 199 by December 31. That's 26 1/2 weeks from now and if I keep going as I've been, I'll get there!

I'm happy to be supportive of anybody on this hard road that I'm on!!

:cheer2:

Excellent! I had a good weekend. I've been weighing every day. One day I lost 4 lbs. overnight and I was like, "What tha"? The next morning I weighed and the 4lbs. were back. I figured it was the sodium I had for dinner the night before. I had some of the Lipton rice dinners and I added chicken to it. They are delicious but it has high sodium content. So far, I've lost 9.5 lbs. I also got Dr. Phil's, "The Ultimate Weigh Loss Solutions" @ the library over the weekend and it keeps me motivated! Good Luck everyone!

I just wanted to check in. I haven't lost anything since I last wrote and I'm frustrated. Frustrated in myself because I know what I have to do lose. I haven't lost anything since December. Anyway - I participated in Relay for Life this past Saturday and walked a lot. I'm a committee member and I figured I walked at least 220 minutes (probably more). I got on the scale yesterday after I woke up and was down a few pounds then got on today and was back up. I drank a ton of water and walked and look. Hopefully tomorrow my scale will be down more. The one thing I know I have to start doing again is writing down what I eat and calculating the cals and fat grams. I was doing that so religiously last year when I started and fell along the wayside when things got so busy here at work and with life.

I started losing last July 14 and am down over 45 pounds. I was down to 55 at one point but have gained at least 7 pounds since December. I just had to get this out.

Signed,
Completely Frustrated :)
Chris

Chris: hang in there. You have been so encouraging to me in the past as I struggled in my journal.

Keep working at it! We can all do this. I also have a goal of seeing "1" on my scale. When it happens, it would be the first time in about 13 years. I reached 191 at my 6 week post-partum check-up, in December of 1992, and haven't seen that number since. I am so tired of the way I feel.

I'm at 222 lbs (I'm the guy in the pic next to the skinny, pretty wife). I'm sooo tired of the comments like "how the h*ll did you get her?" and "she sure got the short end of that stick"! :lmao:

I would love to get down to 190 lbs. Count me in!!!

I'm sure she doesn't think so! You can do it! If 190 is where you want to be, you can get there!

Thanks. I'm really serious about it this time...my problem is going to lunch with the guys at work. We always go to the most greasy places we can find. I eat well at home, I'm just going to have to make changes at work!

Since I last posted, my DF and I have joined up with weight watchers online. It was $85 for three months, so I thought, ok... if I am going to pay this money, it doesn't guarantee anything will happen, I have to do the work.

So now, I am at 225... I am down two lbs!!!

I'm in too. I'm currently at 211 (210 yesterday) down from 218.

I had a baby two years ago and lost 30 pounds (I guess that's a perk from being heavy when I got preggers) but since have gained it back, and like most lost but found again weight, it brought friends with it! YEA! (NOT!)

I'd love to be somewhere between 190 and 198 for our vacation in October to WDW. Then I'd like to lose another 10 pounds before heading to England in December for Christmas with the inlaws.

I am so glad I found this thread. Since March of 2005 I have been trying to lose weight and get down under 200.

In March I was 235 got down to 198 by Sept 2005 and now I am back to 209 I am so depressed and disappointed in myself.

Now I have another dilema. I have been to see a Kidney specialist who tells me to try and stay away from protein as much as possible because it puts a strain on my kidneys. He goes on to say that, that shouldn't be a problem because most women love carbs. Carbs are not my friend and I gained a whole lot of weight by this new plan.

I would love advice of the experts here on wish.

Lyn

Wow...I have the problem that I don't LIKE protein... I can't imagine not being able to eat it.

What I would recommend is seeing a naturopath or a nutritionist and see what they say about losing weight without eating lots of protein.

Also, check out the weight watchers diet. I have only been on it for a week, but since it allows you to choose what you want to eat, carbs aren't all that bad.

Good luck on your goal. I know it is disappointing to gain after you have lost already but you know, you just have to reverse the momentum because if you can get it off once, you can do it again! :cheer2:

For the folks from Ontario, I will be moving to Kitchener at the the end of August from Richmond Hill

Hi, all. I would like to join in too, but I have a lot further to go than most of you sound like. I am at 258 according to the scale at Curves. At home, I weight ten lbs less!! I cannot remember the last time I weighed less than 218 so that is actually my first mini goal. (On my scale at home since that is the one I have used for years.) DD is ten this week and I weighed that before I got preg with her. Awhile before actually, when I got preg I think I was at 221 or somewhere thereabouts. DH and I are going to WDW in Sept. That is in 12 weeks. My goal is to lose 20 lbs by then.

You know, it is hard for me to even type that my goal is something specific. I am still stuck in a rut of being afraid to fail. What I am doing is watching my calories, (last night I had grapes when I wanted something sweet instead of cookies or ice cream :cool1: ) and I am exercising 6 days a week. I will keep up with this thread and lets keep each other motivated. Thanks OP for starting it. I have a hard time relating to people who weigh 147 lbs and are trying to lose. Not that I want to minimize that--it is great they are keeping it under control--but it just really isn't the same.

That is hard, isn't it? I have a group of friends I hang out with and we tend to out to eat and have desserts etc. My best suggestion I have for you is to either decide what you are going to have before you go (this is what I do) or bring your lunch so that you are not tempted and make sure it is something you really will enjoy. DH brings leftovers from dinner a lot of times because that is more appealing than a sandwich. And I think the same way you do, my DH is fit and handsome and I always figure people are thinking that he definitely got the raw end of the deal. He says, no way, but it still stays in my head.

Weighed in at WW yesterday. Down another 1.8 this week. Now I'm at 220. I showed my WW buddies my "before" picture and everyone went crazy! I have 21 lbs. to go to get to 199. That's my goal for now. I'll probably re-evaluate if I actually get there...

Hi everyone! I'm so excited that my post has gotten a good response!! Let's keep it up!! I had signed up for WW Online (having been to the meetings before) but with the online program I was not having much luck. I guess I need the weekly meetings to stay motivated. So Thursday I went back to
my WW meeting. My weight was 232, which was what it was last time I started!! :guilty: So I'm back to where I started but I feel so much more motivated and ready to do this!! What kind of plans do you all have for the 4th?? Holidays scare me because they are a prime time for overeating!!! What do you plan to do to keep your eating in check? It would be a little different if it was Thanksgiving or Christmas, but I want to control myself so that I have a really good loss this first week!!

Good luck everyone!!!

Hi Blue Eyes!
This is a great thread.
I was at my heaviest in January of this year, 301. Yikes!
But I have lost 59.5 pounds since then (gained back 2.5 in the last 2 weeks)
but I am back on track & ready to get below 200.
I now am 244 & just want to get 45 off, so I am 199, then I'll worry about the rest.
Thanks for starting this.

The holidays are the absolute worst!!!

I'm on WW Online as well. So, hopefully that will keep me in check.

This week, I have gone from 227 to 224. So, that is a positive step.

Good luck everyone with this weekend :wizard:
