I want to be under 200 pounds...Anyone else??

I haven't posted in a while because I am really disgusted with myself. I have gained 3lbs and now am up to 210.

The good news is that I am really trying to get back on track and starting losing again. Wish me luck.

Everyone else looks like they are doing great. :thumbsup2 Keep up the good work.

Your weight shouldn't govern how you feel about yourself. It's just a number. If you are overweight you aren't disgusting, you're just not where you want to be.

I spent a lot of years disgusted with myself, and its just not worth it and it won't make you love yourself enough to change.

Think about this. The first time I gained weight up to 211, I was disgusted with myself too. Now I've lost weight to get down to 211, I'm delighted with myself. But, I weigh exactly the same. Then I felt fat at 211, now I feel thin at 211. But, I weigh exactly the same...

I agree Cindy. Now that I am down to a weight that I was horrified to get up to, I feel great! I am just focusing on the overall health and such.

All is well, and once again, off and running!

Cyndiu: Thank you for your kind words.

I am really trying to refocus and move forward. I guess I just have to learn to put the past behind me and forget it. :thumbsup2

Not only forget it, but also forgive yourself for it.

It's really weird what you tolerate. I felt "fat" in my younger years at 170. After 2 kids and a miscarriage wich required major surgery, I would have been excited to be 170 BEFORE pregnancy. My max was 233, and that was 7 months after my last DD. I am getting there..just about half way now (sigh) I'm just hoping to not gain too much when I get to DISNEY :goodvibes .

We have gotta keep goin, and like a previous poster said...dont look back@

New to the thread! I wanna be under 200. Right now i'm at 215ish, thats down from 245/250 this may

Weigh-in day... down 2.6 lbs!!!

I'm at 210 today, last time I weighed 210 was 8 years ago at my sister's wedding. Still hoping for 199 by the end of the year; only 11 to go!

We can do this!
:woohoo:

Hi everyone!
Is it too late to join you all? I have been changing my lifestyle since March and have lost 64.1 pounds. I have 8.4 lbs to go to hit 200, and would love the support I know W.I.S.H.er's can offer. I am not doing a specific eating plan, just really watching what I eat, walking every day (2-4 miles) and refocusing my emotional eating.
This is a great idea for a thread.

Wow! You are doing an awesome job! 64 lbs is amazing!

It's definitely not too late and welcome to you. Lately the traffic in this thread has been a little light and I'm still hoping it will pick up.

Last night DH handed me a free weight from his weight bench that weighed 50 lbs (that's what I've lost) and I nearly dropped it! Plus, just walking around with it for a few minutes left me winded. If I wasn't sure what a difference 50 lbs makes, I'm sure now! And you're at 64!

Thanks for the warm welcome! And kudos to you, too. 50lbs is amazing! I love being able to get my rings on and off and being able to do things that were hard to do before.
Isn't amazing when you see the reality of what 50lbs really is? I have a hard time carrying 20lbs of cat food, and I have lost 3xs that! Really gives you a perspective of what we put our bodies through, huh? But! Now we are doing something good for ourselves, so pat yourselves on the back for making positive changes!

Wow, all this weight loss is wonderful!

Now, I had to go and pick up a few dressier outfits because, well, nothing fits. So, I took a few items off the rack, tried them on, (I picked out 2 sizes smaller) and well, they were too big! YEAH!! I am so glad my DH made me try things on, because I would have purchases items too big! It was nice to fit into a size that I haven't worn since before I was pregnant with my DD (10). I am really going to focus on tightening things up. I am so EXCITED!

Great losses to ALL!

Newbie here. Hope Im not intruding. I have only read a few of the post on this tread and it is very inspiring! I had lost 55lbs in '01/'02. And am back up to above 200.(had started WW at 223) I had stumbled on W.I.S.H last week and was not sure where to start. I plan on visiting to read all of these great ideas to keep me motivated. Any suggestions on where to begin on here? Thanks!!

Welcome GNbuggy! It is good to have you here. Ask any questions or post your thoughts, the WISH board is very helpful and inspiring!

Good Luck. Although I'm not over 200 I'm at 195. I want to go down to 170. I'm a guy, but I'm only 5'6 so I really should be 170. I am finding it so hard to diet. My wife is doing great, but I just can't seem to get myself motivated.

My wife things she is tremendous at 140. Give me a break.

Weighed in at Weight Watchers today...

Down .8 lbs!

I used to be a weight training instructor, I am now a nurse. I have trained in various ways since aged 17, I am now 44. I now lots of bodybuilders who also yoyo with their diets due to competitions etc. This is not healthy. What I have found is if you cut certain foodstuffs out you crave it. I enjoy chocloate and know if I eat too much I pile on the pounds just like everyone else. If you take away something you want it, if you have access to it you don't always crave it. I guess what I am trying to say is, don't cut out on foods you like, just cut down. At the end of the day if you want to lose weight or get fitter you have to want it. One of the things I used to tell people when they came to the gym for a workout is make it fun and by walking through the doors you have already done the hardest thing. Don't worry about weight, muscle weighs more than fat anyway. Its how you feel. The fact that people are trying to alter their lifestyle should be commended.
Good luck to all those trying to lose weight. :thumbsup2
