I Usually Don't Get This Jazzed Up Over Spending $$$

...But forking over a couple thousand dollars for airfare for my family to go to The World in September makes me VERY happy!

There are so many things about being a Disney nut that are perverse, as I'm sure you guys are all aware. However, actually getting giddy when we've just lightened our pockets a lot has to be near the top of the weirdness.

We recently bought the tickets for our trip in August. It seems crazy to buy the plane tickets already, but buying them means we are GOING TO DISNEY! 180 days and counting. Can't wait. Made our ADRs today. We're really going! Woo hoo.

We're also in upstate NY. Flying Southwest out of Albany - was the best price I could find. I was expecting AirTran out of Rochester to be better, but the extra fees times 5 people added up fast.

Same with us - Southwest beat everybody flying out of Albany, particularly when you figure in the baggage fees some of these criminal airlines charge!

I know how you feel. We've doubled your cost for our trip (the airfair really kills you coming out of CA) and we're not done. Still have to drop another $200 for the MNSSHP, then there's food and souvinears. This will be something we can only do every 5 years or so.

Airfare from the NW isn't any better. I keep watching and will gladly hand over my hard-earned money if the price goes down even just a little!
