and they were wonderful!! I love lasagna but I hate boiling noodles. I was so scared I was going to ruin a big batch of lasagna. I told my daughters boyfriend that I was experimenting with the no boil noodles. He said, "oh great I'll be eating crunchy lasagna" but that wasn't the case.

I use that kind all the time, and I love them. It actually works with the regular kind too, you just need more liquid. :bounce: :p

I was really impressed the first time that I used them and it's all I've been using ever since.;)

Once I used them the first time, I didn't look back!! :)
So much easier!

DW makes a mean pan of lasagna with the no boil noodles:D

Spinach lasagna is my ONE good recipe and I NEVER boil regular noodles. I just stack them as usual, add a cup of water to it, cover with aluminum foil and it comes out great! When I saw the no boil type I thought "aren't they ALL no-boil?"

Are they more expensive? I'll try them if they're not.

That's the only kind my DW uses now, but, it's taste good enough for me.

I paid 1.26 for a 16 oz. box. The brand is Pasta Verolanuova from Walmart.
Robin - When you do casseroles and use shell or elbow macaroni do you also not boil?
I always boil the shell, elbow type noodles but would love not to!

any lasanga noodles work Just make sure you put a cup of sauce on the bottom of the pan before you line it, works great.

I don't boil lasagna noodles either...

I just pop the pan of Stouffer's in the oven. :teeth:

(Actually - my family LOVES the Stouffer's lasagna, and at under $10 for a pan at Sam's Club - it probably costs less than if I would buy all of the ingredients - meat, cheeses, sauce, noodles. It works in MY house! :) )

I have NEVER boiled lasagne noodles before making the lasagne. You just add a little more liquid to have the noodles cook while it bakes.

After the first time I tried the no boil noodles, I never went back to the other kind. It is so much easier and less time consuming to use the no boil.

I also have just used regular noodles when baking Lasagna and added water and the dish came out fine....It makes life soo much easier...

Personally I tried it and didn't like the taste.. it tasted off to me..

I still boil, but really it doesn't take long, those are boiling while I am getting the other stuff together, so it isn't much difference to me.

I had the most amazing lasagna the other night, made from HOMEMADE SCRATCH noodles... it was amazing...

I do boil all other pastas, lasagna is the only one I use straight from the box.

I've been using no boil for years, even got my very Italian friend who makes her own "gravy" to try them. Just need to use plenty of sauce.
