I tried my hand at sewing!!!

I have sewn in the past...curtains & a costume for my son once...but I really do not like to follow patters. So I just started cutting material and sewing I had so much fun. I picked a skirt of my daughters that I really liked and used it as a guide. I can't wait to put them together fully with bows, shoes, ect. Thanks for the comments!! I am new to the board, and am loving it!!

I had good intentions to sew, but like to do so many other things and have kids, so don't have the time it takes to learn! Maybe if I kept away from this place!?...

I know the feeling! I have a DS (13yrs), DD (4yrs), DH (38) and work full time...but I pulled a muscle in my back a couple weeks ago...I have been off work for a week, and have booked a Disneyland Vacation, found this board, and started sewing...and my house is a mess!! hahahaha!! Oh well.

Haha!! Thank you so much...you know what's funny...I don't do any repairs for my DH Ha...he has a couple pairs of pants that need to have buttons replaced. That's just not as much fun.
