i touch cover...leather or acrylic??

What do you recommend for the itouch for a cover?
I presume it comes with a charger so I probably don't need one of those 10-20 piece accessory kits...or do I? (is for a 13y.o.)

The I-touch comes with a cord to connect and charge to the computer...If you want to be able to charge in the wall when you are on vacation you'll have to buy a different cord...

I would go either with leather, or one of the rubbery type ones. I wouldn't do the acrylic. They scratch and if they do get dropped the acrylic tends to pop off.

I have this one for mine, dd has one simliar, but hers has the bottom that flips back so she can dock it...

I did not get all the extras with it and I didn't pay that amount. I got it from
Overstock, but they don't carry it any more. I think I paid like $12 for it, but after I purchased it I saw it at Five Below (for $5.00). I absolutely love it and I like the silicone for a case, it's not flimsy and has a nice 'feel' when I'm hold the iPod. HTH (oh, I have the first generation 32GB, but I don't think the dimensions are that much different from generation to generation.)

The dimensions are unfortunately, different enough that the tight fitting skins will not fit right. The 2nd generation are thinner than the 1st, and they have a speaker that might be covered. Too bad, because I would love to have that Mickey skin!!!

Ok, I wasn't sure about the dimensions - sorry! It's made by Mobo. Maybe you could do a search to see if they have a case for the newer Touch.

Things to consider:

silicon will not protect it if dropped polycarbonate or rubberized will provide more protection

silicon cases should be under $10

make sure you get a skin that is made for the version you have ie generation

iphone skins will not fit touches

Also you may want to get a car charger if he intends to play with it in the car or on trips.


what ever option you go with make sure you also add a screen protector, a lot of the better skins come with one

I have a rubber skin - makes it 'grippier' and it doesn't slide off surfaces as much.

Also go out and get screen protectors for it - the matte ones - no smudgies, cut the glare, no scratches.

The descriptions say fits iphone 2g or itouch 8/16/32 but doesn't say anything about the touch generation? Does that mean the touch should be ok?

the one that PP linked(Disney one) does it specify what generation and is there a difference between 2nd and 3rd generation?

I'm the owner of the Disney one for my 1st generation. When I bought it the description did specify 1st generation.
