I took the plunge...

Okay, I think I'm convinced now. This will be our 5th trip in 11 years so are familiar with what we like and want. That being said the first 3 trips we didn't have kids so just DH and I, and 2 of those were in mid September. I remembering thinking who would want fast pass and have to come back later, we never used it and never waited more than 20 minutes. We took our kids 2 years ago but it was a short trip and we stayed at the Contemporary and spent a lot of time at MK. This time we are also taking my mom and staying 8 days. I hit my 180 day mark next week and already feeling the pressure

I'm stressing over FP+ and I can't book till May. I think it's the fear of the unknown and worrying about a system that has many glitches.
It looks great on paper, now I have to hope we can get FP+ to fit with the time slots, if not then I guess I go back to re-evaluating a bunch of the plans!

Me too! I have until August, but my mom is going and it's technically two separate reservations and I know she won't stay up till midnight to do it so just see me now- logged in on a computer and the phone app trying to get cordinate two past passes.

Yes, other than having a crystal ball I think they do a great job crowd-wise! It's really the times though - it has us riding RNR at 9:07 - walking at a relaxed pace. The park opens at 9 - I'm thinking the line in the door alone will be at least 5-10 minutes.

ME TOO! I'm in a room with DH & DS & DD is in a room with my mom. I have our reservations linked though - you should try to do that now. All she has to do is give you her confirmation #. I've had no troubles making any ADRs for all 5 of us this way. I hope FP+ works the same way...

No worries. I linked my in-laws account to mine last August and made FP+ reservations for all of us. :)
 
They do tend to open 10-15 minutes early, on many occasions. 9:07 seems reasonable, depending on where you are in the crowd...

I was thrilled with my subscription and my personalized touring plans!! The ability to set it up however you wanted, with breaks and meals, etc. etc. was awesome and allowed me to know ahead of time that we WOULD get everything done by the end of the week even if we weren't strict in sticking to the plan, I left lots of time for moving things around. Loved it, would definately use it next time!
 
Ugh... thanks guys. I've really been avoiding it, but I might just have to pony up the $12 and try it out. lol

This is my biggest issue. In one of my plans it has a 7 minute wait for Splash Mtn. At 4pm without a fastpass. It's on a level 6 crowd day and I'm super skeptical.
 
I'm a long time TP subscriber and keep renewing each year. I never use the TPs but will use the menus and wait times quite a bit. I also uqsetheir US/IOA one as well. I was happy that I had registered my trip for May on there as they sent me a reminder yesterday about my FP+ window opening today. Nothing to remind me from MDE!
 
We've been subscribers for a couple of years now too, and LOVE them! They're menu/restaurant section is amazingly comprehensive, too :-)

You know what I would like, is an app feature that would tell you in a nice clean way what snacks are in your immediate area. I always have my main meals planned, but am often finding out later on I missed out on a great meal plan snack opportunity that was literally right next to me that, had I known about it, I would have loved.

I have an app on my phone for the real world that does this... I tell it what specific or wider category of food I want and it tells me what restaurants in the vicinity that have it, starting with the nearest. Do any of the existing apps have that sort of functionality within the parks?

In cases like that, you can email your concern and chances are you'll get a reply from Len himself. There are data glitches that creep into the database, and it's not difficult for them to check. Len may be able to explain why they actually believe the short wait time. Forinstance, Splash does get unexpectedly short wait times in cold weather, if your plan is for a wintertime date.
As an aside for those considering subscribing, there are discount codes out there that can lower your price. Some of them will pop up on the site itself. I won't mention them here, but there's this new thing named Google . . . .
 
I'm not worried about $.12! If there was something higher, that'd help but $.12 I can handle!
