It's done. I just booked a N/S flight to MCO with AirTran out of Dayton, early morning. I'm pretty excited. Of course, if you thought I asked a lot of questions before...
We depart May 4th. I'm pretty danged (durned? gol'danged?)) excited, I must say. My plan is to take the tack that so many DISers seem to have taken (at least, according to their trip reports): as soon as we pull out of the driveway and start heading toward the airport, we're on vacation, and nothing, but nothing, will ruin our trip. I'll just take whatever comes, and roll with it. 'Course, knowing that, as of yesterday, we'll be capping off our illustrious stay with a night in the Royal Assante Suite at AKL will go a LONG way toward maintaining my laissez faire demeanor.
And, regarding the questions, there will be many, I promise you. Like Al Jolson uttered, to profound effect, in The Jazz Singer, "You ain't seen nothin' yet!"
And let me just state right here and now: I am positive that I would've passed up yet another opportunity to fly, if not for kind, informative people like you, Bavaria, and erikthewise, and CarolA, and many, many more. I'll be forever appreciative. So thank you, all of you!
You got me. I forgot one (dangit!). I take my hat off to you, my friend. I thought I was the most studied Peanuts geek I know, but you, sir, have brought to light my folly. It's time I recommence reading the Complete Peanuts collections.
