Yesterday, our family celebrated the June and July birthdays at our house-you know, to swim in the pool.
(It was like 15ºC yesterday.) We weren't all there, but there were 16 of us to eat, with 1 coming in later. We always have a set list for food. It read along this line.
We got things ready, went to do the final prep and someone asked, "Where's the ham?" Turns out my mom had given it to me on one of our many unscheduled end-of-year lesson/concert/trips to the city this week and I'd put it in my fridge (well, actually, I'd had DD do that) and I'd forgotten that I had the ham and was supposed to cook it!
UGH!!! I HAD put on a package of meatballs for those who don't like ham, so we had those, tossed on some boiled weiners, and were on our way. Good thing they all understand that at the end of the school year, I can't even THINK, I'm so exhausted! Oh, well. Guess what we're having for Father's Day dinner today?

- Mom-ham
- Susan-cold veggies
- Nancy-salad
- Mary Liz-cake
- Me-salad, buns, ice cream, chocolate milk
