I went to the Mousesavers web site,to find info about past discounts during late Oct -Nove. What I found was that in 2005 and 2004 they had a package discount available to public. It does not tell you exactly what it was. So I am looking for anyone who went at that time and can remember the discount.????? I am a bit frustrated with my TA ,I would of thought that there would be some sort of record on file from less then a year ago.When I asked her she said she did not know,and she did not think there was a way to find out. Well, my goal it to find out without her help,so I can let her know it doesn't take too much effort to find an answer for a client. Ya' get my drift.!!! This will not change my trip, I am just extremely curious. The more $$$ I save for Mickey Bars and Margaritas the happier I am!!!!

I October of '04 we did the 5+2. Pay for 5 nights hotel/tickets get 2 free.

I got a discounted rate for room-only to French Quarter Oct 15 thru Oct 21, 2005 of around $122/night.

I remember at the time seeing quite a few people post that they couldn't even get a room there then. And from other posts I came to believe that this was a very good rate. Not as good as 2004, but the best for 2005.

I found tickets from another site and the complete package I pieced together was cheaper than a full package from mouseearsvactions. Ooops just realized you asked about a similiarly named site.

They also handled all my dining reservations, and I got everything I wanted except one which was taken by a corporate party.

As a general rule no TAs don't keep that kind of data. It's not thier job to do historical research it's their job to sell you UPCOMING trips..... For this type of service I would think the TA would get to charge you extra..


I think maybe you are expecting too much of your TA (and I am normally pretty hard on TAs)

Even if a discount was released it may have not been available for your travel dates at the resort you were at. Many dates were already booked in 2005 before the discount even became available

Here is what was available in 2005 from the Mousesaver newsletter. I try and keep the newsletters so I know what was offered before

I don't remember what was offered from 2004 as I no longer have that newsletter but I am sure if you do a search on this board back to sometime in late august or early september 2004 you will find the information you are looking for

I think an easy solution to this would be to simply do a search right here on the DIS!! Just type in something like "Discount codes for Oct. 2005", search the resorts board (not 100% sure that the codes board was here last year ), then see what you can find.

Being new to the Disney travel-agent world myself, I surely hope no one calls me next year and wants to know what this year's special was....not sure I'd remember!! Luckily if I remember what I did last week!!

If so they haven't come out yet.

LIke CarolA said I think your asking too much of your TA for them to have that kind of info or go look for it.

Oct/Nov has become a very busy time of year and few discounts have become available over the past few years...good luck
