Just got back this evening and had to post that we loved the Osbourne Lights. I read somewhere on this board that some people felt the lights were "thrown up" and did not like this years version at all. Well I loved them thought they looked great and wondered what others thought as well. :cloud9:

Glad to hear you like them! I've been a little worried about those lights!

I agree. Having seen them many times before, I wasn't sure what to expect. I loved seeing the "city" in lights. :D :D :D

I liked them, too. We went the week after Thanksgiving and it was so warm, in FL, that it was hard to get in the mood for Christmas. After seeing the Osbourne lights we were all excited for the holidays!

We saw them last night (they were due to come down after park hours) and we were dissapointed. To us, its just not as good as when it was on Residential Street. They also seem to have forgotten to move all the HM's.

Seems we agree again! While we didn't like the sleigh ride we did very much enjoy the Osborne Lights..I'm just mad I forgot my camcorder that night.

We saw them 12/26 when it was so cold outside that the snow was very believable! I never saw them on residential street so I have nothing to compare them to but I was very impressed. I thought they were amazing! Hope to see them again soon!

I think its great you loved them, its all on how YOU see it, not others! We hope to try Christmas some time at WDW when the kids are older.

We saw them before Christmas. It wasn't like the last display but it was good. They had to reposition the train but walking down the street under the canopy of lights was great. The weather was cool and the snow machine was going pretty good. It really felt like we were home looking at christmas light displays. I would have liked the way it was but they did a good job in trying to make it look the same.

They were splendid! But they sort of reminded me of "Lights on the Lake." Its a light thing just like the Osbournes but its through ther village of Liverpool. Haha, except to/walk drive through "lights on the lake" it'd coast me a pretty penny. :upsidedow

We enjoyed the lights a lot. It's my first year seeing them so I had nothing to compare them with, so maybe that worked to my advantage.

We very much enjoyed the Osborne Lights too! :D
We had never seen them before, so nothing to compare them to. In fact, we may never attend the MVMCP again because we can get the snow for "free" at the Osborne Lights display. I know there is more to the party than the snow, but if Osborne continues to spit out snow, we will be happy campers.

While I missed the "neighborhood" feel of Residential Street, I thought the display on NY Street (or whatever they call it now?) was very nice. Pedestrian traffic certainly moved much better, and with so much of the display raised above the crowds I wasn't constantly trying to look "through" other guests.

We loved them too! It was a highlight for my Mom! We can't wait to see them again next year!

Well, I guess I'm in the minority. I was somewhat disappointed in the Osbourne Lights. They were beautiful but I really preferred the residential street set-up. I guess I'm one of those people who doesn't like change.

We thought the lights were good also. We have been there the last 5 years. I can understand people not liking the change, but it still gave you that WARM FUZZY feeling. My wife had a great IDEA so that you had a path to follow. They could put up 4 foot Christmas trees with garland from one to another down the middle of the streets. This would create a path but not disrupt the whole concept.

My DW and I thought they were better on Residential Street. When we saw them, (12/30/04) a panel of lights on a building on the left side (facing the Empire State building) was not lit. The idea of not being able to walk down San Francisco street from New York street was annoying. Once you got to San Francisco street you had to go all the way around the top of New York street to re-enter the display to see anything you may have missed.
