I thought the MGM parade always started at 5:30????????

I just went on steve soars website and found out that the MGM parade is at 3:30 this week. Do they often change the timing of this parade, is it normally at 5:30 or 3:30?????? Is it just because its the 4th of July this weekend ????I want to plan to see the parade when we go in August, but I don't know what day to do it on. We usually do MGM in 1/2 day so if its at 5:30 I would park hop from Epcot on one day, but if its at 3:30 I would just stay in the park and wait. Two hours makes a huge difference when you have 6 kids with you.

I've read that it is changed until July 16th and then returns to 5:30 but in Aug it goes back to 3:30 again. It is listed as 3:30 on the www.disneyworld.com site for most days in August. From the main page, click on 'calendar', then you click on the specific date in August you want to go and it'll list the parade and Fantasmic times.

It changes with the time of the year. When we went last year in early December, it was 3:30, in early May it was 5:00. August looks like 3:30 all month. Be sure to check the schedules before you go, they do sometimes change times without much advance notice. If you are staying onsite, check the World Update they give at check-in.

Thanks for the replies and the link. I just checked and it is at 3:30 the day we want to go. No more guessing thanks to you guys!!!!!!!! Well now I have to go tweak my plan some more. I can't believe we are leaving in just one month I think I am more excited than the kids!!!!!!!!!

I have seen it as early as 3:30pm-- and as late as 5pm. I think it changes by the week/crowds/season.
