What the heck is Tomorrowland Terrace Presents Tomasina?

scheduled for August 20th. We're doing a one-day and it has me curious.

Also, has anyone been to Innoventions and is it worth some time? We like to chillax after lunch, so is this something that will be restful to hang out in?

Googled Tomasina. She is a local rock musician. Has a MySpace page. It isn't your little kid "High School Musical" stuff. Probably more for teenagers and young adults, not little ones.

In Tomorrowland Terrace they usually have rock-ish cover bands.. Really loud not Disney poppy music..

Last time we were there it was some band that covered 80s rock/pop songs..

I did innovations with the dream house and I liked it. Lots of things to test and a nice place to cool off.

For awhile it was an Elvis impersonator at the Tomorrowland Terrace. Sounds like fun!

I'm glad someone knew the answer to this! The only Tomasina I know of is the Disney movie about the cat with the little girl from "Mary Poppins"!

she used to be part of a band called sandbox. . . they had a parting of ways and i had a hunch she would get the contract with disney and not them. .. do not know why, but had a hunch.

Innoventions is a great air conditioned break. You can play all kinds of games, see the cool hi-tech dream home, and even learn to ride a Segway for free (one of my favorite parts). You can learn about healthcare, see a Honda robot, learn about healthcare and energy distribution, and other fun stuff.

Most people blow this off, but it's a great way to putter about during the crowded parts of the day.

Tomasina is amazing. She used to work at Disneyland in ANimazement. She is worth checking out.

I know Sandbox *used* to perform at TT. We saw them one time while we were in line for Nemo.. That wasn't that long ago (last year?) so their parting ways had to be recent?

My family thought Innoventions was cool. When asked about the best thing they'd seen that day, all three kids said the house at Innoventions. Not bad for two 13 year olds and an 11 year old!

We didn't spend much time upstairs because we had an appointment with Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. We'll make an effort to spend more time there in December.

The upstairs has some nifty stuff thanks to their new partnership with Siemens and St. Joseph Hospital. And the Segway thing.

So I'm betting you're from Whidbey Island - I spent a few days there teaching at Whidbey General Hospital. Loved it!!! Beautiful place to live!

We don't live there, but we have a beach house there, about fifteen minutes from Whidbey General, just past Fort Casey and the Keystone ferry. I spent a little time at the hospital a year ago due to an unfortunate situation with a glass baking dish and a missed curb. Even better was my three-block ambulance ride. Something about passing out three times at the sight of my own blood. Seven stitches and a tetnus shot later...

It is a beautiful island. DH and I might live there full time when our kids are grown.
