...at Country Inn & Suites on Apopka Vineland RD. We booked & pre-paid for 5 night stay with park tickets. We requested a room on the first floor. Our request was not honored. No big deal, but we did have a time getting my autistic DS in the elevator. (He is afraid of both stairs & elevators, at times.)
We get to the room, tired from driving 10 hours, hungry & in great need of the bathroom, & the bathroom door is locked & toilet is stopped up. Maintenance fixed within an hour.
I remember that I didn't get the park tickets & I go back to front desk. No one knew what I was talking about, although it is on our confirmation printout. They say I should have gotten tickets from my travel agent. What travel agent? This is not what confirmation email states! I booked online on the country inn & suites website & now I am very confused & angry.
I called number on email reservation & emailed same. I am waiting for a call back or response. Meanwhile one day's admission wasted...
Suggestions? Advice?

(((hugs))) This sounds like a very stressful start to your vacation. Did you use a credit card to book it? I would continue working with the hotel onsite, but also call your credit card company (if you used one) and start figuring out if they can help. I know my AmEX helps out a great deal in times like you're having.

Best of luck. :thumbsup2

 I'm sorry to hear about that. :( Wed100105 has good advice. I hope it is resolved favorably and quickly. I hope you guys enjoy your trip even though it was a rough start. Please keep us posted.

Oh I'm so sorry that this has happened to you and your family! I really hope that this gets resolved very soon for you! Wish I had some advice to help!

Oh that just bites! I hope you get it worked out ASAP! What a bummer about your first day at the parks wasted.

I just went onto the website for Country Inn and suites ..& don't see a package with theme park tickets. That may be why the hotel is having a problem with it.

http://www.countryinns.com/reservation/rateSearch.do

You booked directly thru them, right? Not an agent or a timeshare tour that give out tickets.. ??? I am not doubting you, but trying to understand. I do believe you have the ticket notation on your confirmation.
When you called them to find out what was going on, you called the number on your confirmation (who sent you the email).. right?

If everything is in line, I would contact my credit card company and see if they can help you...as others have posted here said...
good luck with all of this. Try not to let it get you too down, I know that is hard to do when you had your heart set on being in the parks & now you aren't.

.

Wrong website...need to look at the specific hotel's site. try this website, and check out the "special offers" over on the right side to see Disney family packages:
http://www.countryinns.com/orlandofl_wdwresort

They DO have ticket packages, through the hotel

To OP, agree with the suggestion to talk to your credit card company if Country Inn does not fix this situation ASAP.

results are still the same. When you go thru the main site, it does bring you to the specific hotels website.. and the results are the same whether you go thru the main or skip that & go directly to the specific..

check it out yourself. Go on the link you posted and see where it takes you when you go to make a ressie.. it takes you to the same address my link does.. same place same result.. check it out then tell me what you got. . If anything different, then something is wrong with my computer

I stand corrected... you do have to hit special offers.. if you don't you end up where I did.. sorry.. you are correct. I wonder if the hotel is looking as I did... could be part of the problem...

I didn't know this hotel even offered packages. I thought they were room only. In fact, we're doing room only again in Dec b/c we got a really good AAA South rate for a whirpool room. Can't beat $70 a night.

Update: We got our passes today. When I asked for the passses I was told that with this package, the tickets are delivered at around 5PM on day of arrival. Apparently if you check in at 5:45 you can't get tickets for the next day? I was told that the tickets would come at some point that they had been ordered. I lost it a bit. We leave Saturday morning & they were 5 day passes. I would now have less than 4 days to use a 5 day pass. The desk clerk did some wheeling & dealing with the travel agent guy in the lobby. Who by the way, told me Universal is far better than Disney & I was wasting my money. He also told me I wouldn't be able to upgrade the passes in Disney & of course he was wrong.

Our family package with 2 adult passes & 2 child passes never happened. The coupons & discounts promised never happened. We were only given 2 passes as according to Disney my children are all adults. Again this isn't what the confirmation email says, but I am just going to deal with Country Inn & Suites &/or the credit card company.

I was just waiting for them to complain about my DS's screaming about riding the elevator this evening. (Not that my screaming at a front desk clerk would do any good to help the situation, but it might make me feel better.)

We are gold points members & love Country Inn & Suites. I have stayed here in this particular place in the past & avoided it like the plague ever since. I figured I would give it another try.

I booked another room for tomorrow as when we arrived back here this evening our toilet was again stopped up & overflowing on floor. We had no shower curtain. Lettuce we bought & put in the fridge was found floating in the bathroom sink. If we hadn't enjoyed ourselves so much at Fantasmic this evening & arrived back at hotel before midnight, I would have switched this evening. Instead, I sit here hot, sweaty, & stinky waiting on someone to bring me a shower curtain typing to all of you. Thanks for your responses!

Oh my gosh! What a nightmare. That hotel owes you a new vacation. :(

If you haven't already, document everything! Conversations, times, names. And events such as toilet overflowing. Lettuce floating in the sink? What the heck?

I hope you get some resolution on this. I am so mad for you!

He also told me I wouldn't be able to upgrade the passes in Disney & of course he was wrong.

Again this isn't what the confirmation email says, but I am just going to deal with Country Inn & Suites &/or the credit card company. This portion is very confusing, did you not get all the tickets you paid for? Or did you get 2 children's tickets & since your children are over the "child" age for Disney, you are out of luck. If your package came with the children's then you knew that when you purchased them. That would not be the hotel's fault, but your's.

I was just waiting for them to complain about my DS's screaming about riding the elevator this evening. (Not that my screaming at a front desk clerk would do any good to help the situation, but it might make me feel better.) So you wanted to scream at them & were just waiting for the opportunity?

I booked another room for tomorrow as when we arrived back here this evening our toilet was again stopped up & overflowing on floor. Why would you "book" another room? Again, very confusing. You would request to be moved to another room, is that what you did? We had no shower curtain. You hadn't noticed there was no shower curtain prior to leaving the room, did you not go into the bathroom? Lettuce we bought & put in the fridge was found floating in the bathroom sink. So someone came in your room, took your lettuce out of the fridge, filled up your bathroom sink and placed your lettuce in there? I have heard of employees maybe entering rooms to snoop or steal, but not to play practical jokes.
I am not doubting that things are going wrong, but this post is a bit confusing, at least to me

I went onto the link/site that catne posted. It does show the package deals with passes. However none of them have 4 adult passes. They either come with only 2 adults or 2 adults + 2 children (and it states the ages for the children). It states it very clearly too. So now I am totally confused on what passed you were expecting to get.. you would have gotten 2 children & 2 adults, if you booked the family package.

I know you had commented in another thread that you have 4 children, ages 19, 16 (2) and 14. The child's pass is for under 10. Surely you would have realized that if you were getting children's passes, Disney wasn't going to allow your children to use them unless you upgraded them to adult passes.... again that is if you even did get them.. like I said, I am totally confused on your last post... sorry if I sound doubting, but just trying to make heads or tails out of this... and I do hope you get everything that you have paid for. If not, contact your credit card company..

I am a little worried about this...we booked this same package for November. I know that in Disney terms we will have 4 adults and 1 child. I was planning on upgrading 1 of the child's ticket and buying another adult ticket. So are you saying that they wouldn't even give you, the two child's tickets so you could upgrade?
