I thought all passes had the same pool of reservations availability...

At this point, anything is possible. But it is clear that newly available (previously unavailable) dates seem to differ among pass types so there is some sort of division going on behind the scenes.

Thanks for everyone's valuable input. It does seem clear now that there are different buckets for different passes. Whether that applies to cancellations and/or newly released reservations still seems unclear to me. I think until I get my son's pass upgraded, if I do, I'll be checking on last minute releases and seeing how my pass varies with his and post an update soon. Maybe it can help those trying to decide which pass(es) will work best for their family.

As a planner, the last minute stuff doesn't affect me as much I guess. I have been able to book many weekend days with both passes together (Including the upcoming MLK Holiday weekend, which is available now!) Although, I think gone are the days that I could spontaneously pop in to Disneyland unfortunately. I just need to mourn that and figure out this new system now. Not giving up on Disney just yet 😊

I'm interested because I have a friend who's considering buying Magic Keys, and I sent her the link to that calendar so she could see how the cancellations open up each night for the next day. But she's looking at buying an Enchant Key, I think - so I may be giving her bad information if that calendar doesn't apply to her. Maybe only Dream Keys have that kind of "day before" movement happening?

Can you give her this link instead: https://disneyland.disney.go.com/passes/blockout-dates/

I definitely had some "day before" movement in my Imagine Key availability calendar... Monday (10/18) had been full for both parks, but at some point on Sunday, I looked and both parks showed as an available starting park.

(Or maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to show her.)

Yes, I'll have to have her check for her particular Key there. It's just not as convenient as the other link, and until recently, I didn't realize that there was potentially a difference! I appreciate the feedback on your Key; I'll let her know that.

If it is tied to cancellations, there could be a big difference since I think there are a lot more Dream Key holders than other types... it's interesting. I would prefer it to be all one big pool because that means more movement on the calendar, and it's definitely a challenge for groups with different pass types if there are different options available.
